Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about them new movies, the ones everyone’s yappin’ about. I ain’t got no fancy education, but I know what I like, and I know what folks are watchin’. So, let’s get down to it, no highfalutin words, just plain talk about what’s new in the movie world.
Now, they say 2023 was a big year for movies. Heard tell some of ’em made a whole heap of money, like, more than I can even count. Millions and millions, they say. Big money movies, that’s what they are. Stuff that folks went wild for in them theaters, you know, the big picture houses. And now, lots of them are showin’ up on them streamy things, the ones where you watch movies on your TV at home. Saves you a trip to town, I guess.
I ain’t too sure about all these fancy names, but there’s this place called “Rotten Tomatoes,” and folks say it tells you if a movie’s good or not. They got all sorts of scores and numbers, but I just look to see if it’s got a lot of them red tomatoes or green ones. Red means bad, green means good, simple as that. They got a whole list of new movies folks are watchin’ right now, so that’s a good place to start if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ new.
So, where do you find these new movies? Well, there’s a whole bunch of places now. Used to be just the theater or maybe the TV, but now you got these “streamin’ providers,” hundreds of ’em, they say. It’s like a whole new world of watchin’ stuff. You gotta pay for most of ’em, though, nothin’s free these days. But they got all kinds, from them big action movies to them little stories about folks’ lives.
Them smart folks, they put out lists of the best new movies every week. They tell you what’s comin’ out on all them different streamin’ services. It’s helpful, I reckon, ’cause there’s so much to choose from. You got your big hits, the ones everyone’s talkin’ about, and then you got them smaller ones that sneak up on ya, the ones that turn out to be real gems. Gotta keep your eyes peeled for those.
And speakin’ of keepin’ your eyes peeled, there’s somethin’ else you gotta watch out for. There used to be this place called “123Movies,” and everybody and their brother went there to watch movies for free. But it turns out it was bad news, all sorts of nasty stuff on there, viruses and who knows what else. They shut it down, but then a bunch of copycats popped up. You gotta be careful, stick to the legit places, or you might get yourself into trouble. Don’t go lookin’ for trouble, that’s what I always say.
- So, what kinda new movies are out there? Well, you got your action movies, them ones with lots of shootin’ and explosions.
- You got your comedies, them ones that make you laugh till your belly hurts.
- You got your dramas, them ones about real life and real problems. Sometimes they make you cry, sometimes they make you think.
- And then you got all sorts of other stuff, documentaries about real things, cartoons for the young’uns, scary movies that make you jump, you name it. There’s a movie for just about everyone, I reckon.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ new to watch, there’s plenty out there. Just gotta know where to look and be careful about where you’re gettin’ it from. And remember, just ‘cause it’s new don’t mean it’s good, and just ‘cause it’s old don’t mean it’s bad. Sometimes them old movies are the best ones. But that’s a whole ‘nother story for another day.
