Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout these scary movies from back in 2011. You know, the ones that made ya jump outta your seat and spill your popcorn? Yeah, those ones.
Best darn scary movies of 2011, that’s what we’re talkin’ about. I ain’t no fancy movie critic or nothin’, but I know what makes my hair stand on end, ya hear?
So, first off, there’s this movie called Absentia. It’s about this woman and her sister, and they gotta figure out what’s goin’ on with this creepy tunnel. Seems like folks been disappearin’ near it. Real spooky stuff, I tell ya. Makes ya think twice about goin’ into any dark holes, that’s for sure.
Then there’s this one, You’re Next. Now this one’s a real doozy. This family, they’re havin’ a nice getaway for their anniversary, and bam! All hell breaks loose. People start attackin’ ’em. It’s bloody and it’s scary, and it keeps ya guessin’ who’s gonna make it out alive.
- Attack the Block: This one’s got monsters, and they ain’t the friendly kind. Scared the bejesus outta me, I tell ya.
- Kill List: Don’t even ask me to explain this one too much. It’s messed up, real messed up. But if you like your movies dark and twisted, this is your kinda flick.
- Red State: This one’s about some crazy folks out in the middle of nowhere. Let’s just say you don’t wanna run into these fellas on a dark night.
Now, some folks say 2011 wasn’t the best year for scary movies. They say it wasn’t as good as those years before, you know, like 2007, 2008, 2009. But I say, there were still some good ones, ya just gotta know where to look.
And speaking of lookin’, there’s this other movie, Take Shelter. It ain’t your typical monster movie or nothin’. It’s more about this fella who starts havin’ these visions of the end of the world. Makes ya think about what’s real and what ain’t. Gets under your skin, it does.
Oh, and if you like a good laugh with your scares, there’s this one called Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. It’s about these two good ol’ boys who get mistaken for killers. It’s bloody, it’s funny, it’s a wild ride.
Now, I heard tell of a movie called 11-11-11. Don’t know much about it, but the name itself gives me the chills. Eleven, eleven, eleven… sounds like somethin’ bad’s gonna happen, right?
And then there’s that Bloody Mary movie. You know, the one where they play that game? Well, let me tell ya, that game ain’t for kids, and neither is this movie. Things get real nasty, real fast.
Someone told me that The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia, that one’s got more jump scares than a frog has fleas. Jump scares ain’t everything, mind you, but they sure do get your heart pumpin’.
So there ya have it. A whole bunch of scary movies from 2011. Some are good, some are bad, some are just plain weird. But they all got one thing in common: they’ll make ya wanna sleep with the lights on. And maybe lock the doors, too, just in case.
So, grab your popcorn, turn down the lights, and get ready to be scared. Just don’t blame me if ya can’t sleep afterwards. I warned ya!
