Well, howdy there! Let’s talk about this here “diamonds are forever” movie poster, ya know? I ain’t no fancy movie expert or nothin’, but I seen a thing or two in my time, and pictures, well, they tell a story, don’t they?
Now, this “diamonds are forever” thing, it’s about some fella named Bond, James Bond. Sounds like a made-up name, if ya ask me. But anyways, this fella, he’s always chasin’ after bad guys and whatnot. And diamonds, well, they seem to be a big deal in this here movie.
I saw a picture once, a poster they call it. Big ol’ thing, it was. Had this Bond fella on it, lookin’ all serious and whatnot. And there was this pretty gal too, all dolled up. And diamonds, lots of ’em, sparklin’ and shinin’. Makes ya wonder how much them sparklers cost, huh? Probably enough to feed a whole town for a year, I reckon.
- First off, ya gotta have that Bond fella, lookin’ all tough.
- Then, ya need some shiny diamonds, big as yer thumb, maybe bigger.
- And don’t forget a pretty gal, gotta have a pretty gal, all dressed up and smilin’.
- And maybe some bad guys in the background, lookin’ all sneaky.
They say these posters, they sell ’em, ya know? People collect ’em, like stamps or old coins. Can ya believe it? Spendin’ good money on a picture! But I guess some folks got more money than sense, as my old pappy used to say.
I heard tell some of these posters are real old, from way back when. Them’s the ones that are worth the big bucks, I reckon. The older, the better, they say. Like a good ol’ wine, I guess. Though I never cared much for wine myself, give me a good cup of coffee any day.
And these posters, they come from all over, ya know? I heard of some from Argentina, big ones, they say. And some from Australia, different sizes and shapes. It’s a whole world out there, just for movie posters! Who’d a thunk it?
Some of ’em even got signatures on ’em, from the folks who made the movie or the actors themselves. Now, them’s gotta be worth somethin’, right? Like gettin’ a baseball signed by a famous player, I guess. Though I never understood baseball much neither. Too much runnin’ around for my taste.
This particular poster, the “diamonds are forever” one, it’s got Sean Connery on it, that’s the Bond fella I was talkin’ about. He’s a looker, that one, even for an old gal like me. Got that twinkle in his eye, ya know? And the poster, it shows all sorts of things from the movie, like cars chasin’ each other and explosions and whatnot. It’s a real humdinger of a picture, that’s for sure.
And they got different sizes too, these posters. Some big, some small, some in between. I guess it depends on where you wanna put ’em. If you got a big wall, you need a big poster. If you got a small wall, well, you get the picture.
I even heard they made DVDs of this movie, “diamonds are forever”. Little shiny discs, they are. And the cover, it’s kinda like a poster too, I guess. Shows ya what the movie’s about. But I still like the big paper posters better, myself. More to look at, ya know?

And it tells ya about a fella named Bond, James Bond, and his adventures with diamonds and pretty gals and bad guys. And it reminds ya that some things, like diamonds, well, they’re forever, or so they say. Makes ya think, don’t it?
