Alright, let’s yak about them movies filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico. You know, that place out West with all the dirt and sunshine? Lots of them picture shows been made there, more than you can shake a stick at, that’s for sure.

I reckon some folks like them cowboy movies. Heard tell of one called Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Filmed right there in Santa Fe, on some ranch, I think. Cows and horses and shootin’, probably. Then there’s Cowboys vs. Aliens. Now that sounds like a real hoot! Cowboys fightin’ them space critters? Only in the movies, I tell ya.

  • Easy Rider, that’s another one. Bikers and the open road. Don’t know much about it, but it sounds like somethin’ my grandson would watch.
  • Then you got Appaloosa and 3:10 to Yuma. More cowboys, I guess. They sure do like them cowboys out there in Santa Fe.

And it ain’t just cowboys, mind you. They make all sorts of pictures. Heard of a movie called No Country for Old Men. Sounded kinda scary, so I didn’t watch it. Too much shootin’ and killin’ for my taste. But it was filmed there in New Mexico, that’s what they said on the TV. All dry and dusty, just like I like it.

Santa Fe, it’s a real popular spot for them movie makers. Why, they even got that Netflix company makin’ shows there now. Heard they’re filmin’ somethin’ called The Boroughs in Albuquerque, not too far from Santa Fe. Guess they like that desert scenery.

It’s somethin’, ain’t it? All them actors and cameras and lights. Must be a real ruckus. But I guess it brings money to them towns, so that’s a good thing. Folks gotta eat, you know. And watchin’ them movies, well, that gives us somethin’ to do on a rainy afternoon, that’s for sure.

I ain’t never been to Santa Fe myself, but I seen pictures. Lots of them mountains and deserts. Pretty country, if you like that sort of thing. Me, I’m more of a green grass and trees kinda gal, but to each their own, I always say. And them movie folks, they seem to love it out there.

From them fast-paced shootin’ pictures to them heartwarmin’ stories, they film it all in Santa Fe. Must be somethin’ in the air, or maybe it’s just the light. Whatever it is, them movie makers can’t seem to get enough of it. And I reckon that’s just fine. Keeps them folks busy and gives us somethin’ to watch on the TV.

Now, I ain’t no movie expert, mind you. I just watch what’s on the TV and try to make sense of it all. But I do know a thing or two about good stories, and it seems like Santa Fe is full of ‘em. Whether it’s cowboys or aliens or just plain folks, there’s a story to be told out there in the desert. And them movie makers, they’re just the ones tellin’ it.

So, next time you’re watchin’ a movie and you see them big mountains and dusty roads, you just might be lookin’ at Santa Fe, New Mexico. A place where the cowboys ride, the aliens attack, and the stories never end. At least not on the big screen.

And that’s all I gotta say about them movies filmed in Santa Fe. If you wanna know more, you go ask someone else. I’m done talkin’ for now. My throat’s gettin’ dry.
