Alright, so you wanna know about them movie places in Farmington, New Mexico? Well, let me tell ya, I ain’t no fancy movie critic or nothin’, but I know a thing or two about where to catch a flick around here.

First off, there’s this Allen Theaters place. Folks seem to like it alright. They got a bunch of screens, I hear, showin’ all sorts of them new movies. You know, the ones with all the explosions and such. Can’t say I go much myself, what with my chickens and all, but the young’uns seem to enjoy it.

Then there’s Gaslight Theatres. Now that sounds fancy, don’t it? Gaslight. Makes you think of old-timey stuff. I reckon they might show some of them older pictures too, not just the newfangled ones. Heard tell it’s a good spot to take the grandkids, if you got ‘em. They got popcorn and all that, just like you’d expect.

  • Animas 10
  • Animas Cinema 4
  • Animas City Theatre

These Animas theaters, well, they’re all over the place, seems like. Can’t keep ’em straight myself. But folks go there, so they must be doin’ somethin’ right. Probably got different movies at each one, I guess. Makes sense, right? More movies, more choices for folks.

And then there’s that Storyteller Durango Stadium 9. Durango, that’s a ways off, ain’t it? But I reckon it’s close enough for some folks to drive to for a movie. Stadium seating, they call it. Sounds mighty impressive, though I ain’t never seen it myself. Probably just means the seats are higher up, so you can see better. That’s what I figure, anyways.

Now, if you’re lookin’ for showtimes, they say you gotta check out this Fandango thing. Sounds like a dance, don’t it? But it ain’t. It’s somethin’ on that there internet, where you can find out what movies are playin’ and when. My grandson showed me once, but I couldn’t make heads or tails of it. Too much clickin’ and tappin’ for my old bones.

They got this one theater, the address is 4601 E Main. That’s right on Main Street, easy to find. If you get lost, just ask someone. Folks around here are friendly enough, they’ll point you in the right direction. They got movies there, that’s for sure. What kind of movies? Well, that depends on what day you go, I reckon.

Some folks like them classic movies, the old ones. Black and white, ya know? I remember seein’ some of them when I was a girl. They didn’t have all the fancy colors and noises back then, but they told good stories. Now, where you find them old movies in Farmington, that’s a good question. Maybe that Gaslight place, like I said before. Or maybe you gotta wait for a special occasion. They do that sometimes, show the old ones for a night or two. Brings back memories, it does.

So, if you’re lookin’ to see a movie in Farmington, you got plenty of choices. Just pick a place, find a showtime that suits ya, and go on down. Don’t forget your popcorn money! And if you see me there, well, don’t be surprised. Even an old woman like me likes to escape into a good story now and again. Though, truth be told, I prefer sittin’ on my porch watchin’ the sunset. But that’s just me.

Anyways, that’s about all I know about them movie theaters ‘round here. Hope it helps ya find what you’re lookin’ for.
