Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Venom movie poster thing. I ain’t no fancy movie expert, ya know, but I seen some posters in my time.
First off, they got all sorts of them posters. Some are just plain pictures of that fella, Venom, you know, the one with the big teeth and the long tongue. Scary lookin’ thing, I tell ya. Like a big ol’ black blob with somethin’ mean inside. Some posters, they show him fightin’, or jumpin’ around, or lookin’ all serious. They gotta catch your eye, I guess.
Then there’s them other posters, the ones with the words on ’em. “Venom: The Last Dance”, I seen one that said. Sounds kinda fancy, don’t it? Like he’s gonna do somethin’ special, maybe a little jig or somethin’. I dunno. But it makes ya wanna go see the movie, I guess, to figure out what that “last dance” is all about.
- They got posters that are all dark and spooky, with Venom lookin’ like he’s gonna jump right outta the picture.
- And then there’s the ones that are brighter, with more colors, maybe showin’ the other people in the movie too.
- I even heard tell of a poster with the fella ridin’ a horse, but not a real horse, mind you. Some kinda black, inky horse. Sounds plumb crazy to me.
Some folks, they like the posters that are simple, just Venom and maybe the name of the movie. Clean and to the point, they say. Others, they like the ones with all the bells and whistles, the explosions and the fightin’ and whatnot. Me? I just want a poster that tells me what the movie’s about. Is it gonna scare me? Is it gonna make me laugh? Is it gonna make me think? Though thinkin’ ain’t my strongsuit after all these years.
I remember hearin’ somethin’ ’bout how they didn’t even put Venom on the first posters. Can ya believe that? A movie about Venom, and they don’t put him on the poster! Guess they figured they were bein’ clever, but folks didn’t like it much. They wanna see the monster, I reckon. That’s what they’re payin’ for, ain’t it?
And these posters, they ain’t just for the movie theaters, ya know. People buy ’em and put ’em up in their houses. In their bedrooms, even. Imagine that, wakin’ up every mornin’ and seein’ that scary face starin’ back at ya. Must be some kinda thing young folks like, I guess. They like all sorts of strange things these days.
I seen folks talkin’ about these posters on that there internet thing. Pinterest, they call it. They got all sorts of ideas and pictures on there. People sharin’ their favorite Venom posters, talkin’ about which ones they like best. It’s a whole thing, ya know. More fuss than a hen with one chick if you ask me.
Then there’s all them different Venom movies, see. They got that first one, just called “Venom”. Then there’s “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”. Carnage, that sounds like somethin’ messy, don’t it? And now they got this “Venom: The Last Dance” comin’ out. Three movies! That Venom fella must be somethin’ special, to get three whole movies made about him.
And that fella Tom Hardy, he’s the one playin’ Venom in all them movies. He’s a good actor, I hear. Makes ya believe he’s really got that monster inside him. Though I reckon he’s just puttin’ on a show. Ain’t nobody got a real monster inside ‘em, cept maybe ol’ Mr. Henderson down the road, and that’s just ‘cause he drinks too much moonshine.
So, yeah, these Venom movie posters, they’re a big deal, I guess. They gotta tell ya what the movie’s about, make ya wanna see it, and sometimes, just scare the pants right off ya. And that’s all there is to it, far as I can tell.
