Max has revealed the main official trailer for a new hospital drama series called The Pitt, set at a major hospital in Pittsburgh. The 15-episode Max drama series The Pitt, made by John Wells Productions & Warner Bros TV, created by R. Scott Gemmill and starring Noah Wyle, debuts in January 2025 for streaming on Max. The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a big and very busy hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The massive cast features Noah Wyle (Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch), Tracey Ifeachor (Dr. Collins), Patrick Marron Ball (Dr. Langdon), Supriya Ganesh (Dr. Mohan), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr King), Isa Briones (Dr Santos), Gerran Howell (Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi), and Katherine LaNasa (Dana Evans). This is an obvious “ER” update (which apparently they are being sued over anyway) featuring Wyle and a bunch of young docs dealing with the intensity of a modern hospital. Looks quite good.

The Pitt is a series created by WB TV. A co-production with Sky Studios, produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where JWP is under an overall deal. Featuring episodes directed by Amanda Marsalis. Final writing and directing credits are not available yet. R. Scott Gemmill (veteran writer on “Jag”, “ER”, “NCIS: Los Angeles”) wrote the first episode and also executive produces the series alongside Noah Wyle, John Wells, and JWP’s Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan, and Michael Hissrich.
