Alright, so you wanna know about that Wall Street 2 movie, huh? The one with all them fancy talkin’ fellas in suits? Well, lemme tell ya, I watched it, and it was somethin’ else. Don’t understand half of what they was jabberin’ about, all that money stuff, but I remember some things they said.
First off, that fella, Gordon somethin’, he talked a whole lot. Real smooth talker, that one. Said somethin’ about money never sleepin’. “Money never sleeps,” yeah, that’s what it was. Guess that means them rich folks are always busy makin’ more money, even when they should be snoozin’. Lord knows I need my sleep.
Then there was this other fella, younger guy, always lookin’ worried. He was in a heap of trouble, I think. They all were, really. Always chasin’ after more, more, more. Never satisfied, them city folk. Always wantin’ a bigger house, a fancier car. Don’t know what for, my little place is good enough for me.
- One time, that Gordon fella, he said somethin’ real strange. “Greed is good,” he said. Can you believe that? Greed? My mama always told me greed was a sin, but these fellas on Wall Street, they think it’s a good thing. I don’t get it, not one bit.
- And there was all this talk about buyin’ companies and sellin’ companies. Like they was playin’ a game or somethin’. But it wasn’t no game, I tell ya. People lost their jobs, their homes. All ’cause these fellas wanted more money. It’s a dog eat dog world, they said. Seems about right.
I remember one scene, they was all standin’ around a big table, yellin’ at each other. Talkin’ ’bout stocks and bonds and whatnot. My head was spinnin’. Sounded like a bunch of chickens clucking in the henhouse, to be honest. But you could tell they was serious. Serious about makin’ money, that is.
There was also this woman, she was pretty smart. Tried to keep them fellas in line, but it wasn’t easy. She said somethin’ about doin’ the right thing, but them fellas, they didn’t listen. They was too busy bein’ greedy, I guess. Money makes people crazy, that’s what I think.
Now, I ain’t no expert on movies or money, but I can tell you this: them Wall Street folks, they ain’t like us. They live in a different world. A world where money is everything. And it don’t seem like a very happy world, to me. All that stress and worry. Give me a quiet evenin’ on the porch any day.
The movie had lots of other quotes, I’m sure. Folks talkin’ fast and furious. But them ones I mentioned, them stuck with me. “Money never sleeps” and “Greed is good.” That’s what them Wall Street folks believe, I reckon. And maybe that’s why they got all that money. But is it worth it? I don’t know. You gotta watch the movie and decide for yourself.
It’s a long movie, too. Lots of twists and turns. Hard to keep up sometimes. But the actors, they did a good job. Made them characters seem real, even though they was livin’ these crazy lives. It’s like a whole ‘nother world over there on Wall Street. A world I don’t much care for, if I’m bein’ honest.
So, that’s my take on Wall Street 2. Not much, I know. But I told ya what I remember. Them fancy words and them greedy fellas. It ain’t my kind of life, but it makes for a good story, I suppose. Just don’t go gettin’ any ideas about bein’ greedy, alright? It ain’t worth it in the end. Remember what your grandma used to say.
