Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Canada Vertical film. I ain’t no fancy movie critic, ya know, just a regular person who likes a good story. This here movie, they say it took ’em years to make it. Years! Imagine that, all that time just for a picture show. Must’ve cost a pretty penny, I reckon.
Now, I heard tell it’s an adventure travel film. That means it’s got folks climbin’ mountains or somethin’, right? Maybe wanderin’ through the woods. I ain’t never been much for that kinda stuff myself. Gettin’ too old for all that hikin’ and climbin’. But I do like to watch it on the TV, long as I got my comfy chair and a cup of tea.

This Vertical film, it’s got a story about some family, the Yayauqui family, I think they called ’em. Every hundred years, one of ’em has to…well, it sounds kinda spooky. They gotta do somethin’ to a person, a sacrifice, they say. Don’t sound too pleasant to me, but I guess that’s what makes it a fantasy adventure. Keeps ya on the edge of your seat, they say.
There’s this fella, Steven Dasz, and some other folks, Andrew Dasz and Patricia Palmer, Isabela Rangel, too. They’re in it. I ain’t never heard of ’em before, but they must be actors, I reckon. Someone called Maryam Pirband, she made the whole thing. Good for her, I say. Must be a smart cookie to make a whole movie like that.
They showed this movie, or maybe some others like it, at somethin’ called the Vancouver International Film Festival. That’s way out in Canada, I think. Big city, lots of folks. They had all kinds of movies there, from all over the world. Must’ve been somethin’ to see. But like I said, I’m happy right here in my chair.
Now, I heard tell that Canada, that’s the country where they made this here film, they like makin’ movies. They got rules and stuff that make it easy for folks to come and make their picture shows there. That’s smart, I reckon. Brings in money and jobs. Good for the economy, they say.
Canada Vertical, it sounds like a good movie, even for an old lady like me. Adventure and fantasy, that’s what they call it. Maybe I’ll get one of my grandkids to set it up for me on that internet thing. Then I can watch it and see what all the fuss is about. It ain’t gonna be nothin’ like real life, that’s for sure. But sometimes it’s nice to escape for a little while, ya know?
And I’m sure it took a lot of hard work, lots of people involved in makin’ this movie happen. I heard it again, it took them years of planning and preparation to finally make it. It must be a really good one, if they took all that time on it. Makes me appreciate it even more, knowing all that effort went into it.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch, and you like adventure and maybe a little bit of spooky stuff, give this Canada Vertical film a try. It might just be the thing to keep ya entertained for a couple of hours. And who knows, maybe you’ll learn somethin’ about Canada, too. Or about that Yayauqui family and their strange ways. Either way, it sounds like a pretty good time to me, long as I got my tea and my comfy chair.
I heard some other folks call it the best adventure film, now that’s somethin’ ain’t it? I ain’t sure if it is or not, but it seems like a lot of people really like it, it must be something special.
