- And the comedies! Oh, them comedies can make ya laugh ’til your belly hurts. Good for the soul, laughter is.
Where can ya watch these movies?
Well, now, that’s the tricky part. Used to be, ya had to go to a big fancy theater, pay a whole lotta money, and sit with a bunch of strangers. But things are changin’, ya see. Now, they got these things called “streamin’ platforms.” Sounds all highfalutin’, but it just means ya can watch movies on your telly or even on that little phone thingy everybody’s always starin’ at.
Some of these new movies, they come out right on them streamin’ thingies. Others, they play in the theaters first, and then later on, they show up on your telly. It’s all a bit confusin’ if ya ask me, but the young’uns, they seem to figure it out just fine. They always do, them youngsters, with their fancy gadgets.

That’s easy enough. Just gotta keep your ears open. Folks are always talkin’ about the latest movie they seen. And them newspapers, they print all sorts of stuff, though I can’t say I read ’em much myself. My eyes ain’t what they used to be.
But the best way, I reckon, is to just ask around. Ask your neighbors, ask the fella at the grocery store, heck, ask the preacher! Somebody’s bound to know somethin’. Or you can do like them youngsters do and go on that internet thing. Type in “new Malayalam movies near me” and see what pops up. Just be careful, there’s a whole lotta stuff on there, and not all of it’s good, ya hear?
What’s comin’ out this week?
Now, I ain’t no movie expert, but I heard tell there’s some new ones comin’ out this week. Somethin’ about a village and some folks up north. And another one, a big one everybody’s waitin’ for, comin’ out on that OTT thingy. That’s what they call it, OTT. Sounds like somethin’ you shout, don’t it? “OTT! Look at that!” But it ain’t, it’s just another way to watch movies. They got all sorts of movies on there, not just Malayalam ones. Even got that one about the karate fella, “Cobra Kai” I think it’s called. My grandson watches it all the time, kickin’ and punchin’ all over the place.
How to get tickets, if ya wanna go to the theater?
Well, you can go right up to the theater and buy ’em, just like in the old days. Or you can use that phone thingy again. There’s apps for everything these days, even buyin’ movie tickets. Heard tell there’s one called “PhonePe” that lets ya pay for things with your phone. Imagine that! Don’t even need cash no more. Makes a body wonder what they’ll come up with next.
