Alright, let’s talk about this movie, “Rushed”. I ain’t no fancy movie critic or nothin’, just a regular person tellin’ it like it is. This here movie, it’s about a woman, Barbara somethin’, lives up in New York somewhere. She’s one of them praying types, always got her rosary beads, but lordy, she can cuss like a sailor when she’s drivin’ them kids around. Real firecracker, this one.

So, things are goin’ okay for Barbara, you know, just regular life, until bam! Her boy Jimmy, he’s off at college, gets messed up bad. Some kinda frat thing, they made him drink too much, and he ends up in a coma. Can you imagine? Poor woman, her heart must’ve been ripped right out. It’s a terrible thing, just terrible. And those frat boys, they should be ashamed of themselves. Drinking and carrying on like that, it never ends well. I always told my kids, stay away from that stuff.

  • Her boy, Jimmy, got into big trouble at college.
  • Seems like those college kids were drinking too much.
  • Barbara, she was a praying woman, but she sure could cuss.

Anyways, they have to make that awful decision, you know, to take him off life support. No mother should have to go through that. It just ain’t right. Makes me wanna cry just thinkin’ about it. After that, nothin’ was the same for Barbara. Her whole life got turned upside down.

Now, there’s this other fella, Steven. I ain’t quite sure how he fits into all of it at first. But Barbara, she’s had enough, and she goes after him. Thinks he’s the one to blame for what happened to her boy. The movie makes you think she shot him, you know? But turns out, she didn’t. She just wanted to scare him, mess with his head a little. She tells them at the police station, “I could never do that to another mother.” Guess even when you’re mad as a hornet, some things you just can’t do. It’s a mother’s heart, you know? It’s strong, but it’s got its limits.

The acting, it was pretty good. This Barbara lady, she really made you feel for her. You could see the pain in her eyes, the anger, the sadness. It was like she was really livin’ it, not just pretendin’. There’s a part in there where she’s just goin’ through the motions, tryin’ to get back to normal life, but you can tell she’s just broken inside. That actress, Siobhan somethin’, she did a real bang-up job. They say it’s a career-definin’ performance, and I reckon they’re right. She really showed what she could do in this one.

Now, this Steven fella, the one Barbara went after, I didn’t get to see enough of him in my opinion. The movie kinda rushed things, if you ask me. They didn’t spend enough time showin’ you who he was, why he was important. He just sort of shows up and then, bam, everything happens. It’s like they needed more time to build him up, make you understand him better. More screen time, that’s what he needed. Without it, it felt a little bit like he came outta nowhere, you know?

The story itself, it was pretty good. It kept me guessin’, that’s for sure. I kept wonderin’ what was gonna happen next, and that’s always a good sign. You don’t want no boring movie that just drags on and on. This one, it kept you on the edge of your seat, even if some parts felt a little rushed. It’s a movie about a mama’s love, and the pain of losin’ a child. And about how far someone will go when they’re hurtin’ that bad. It makes you think, you know, about what you’d do in that situation.

Overall, I’d say “Rushed” is worth a watch. It ain’t perfect, mind you, but it’s got heart. It’s got a good story, even if it’s a sad one. And it’s got that actress, Siobhan, who really makes it somethin’ special. Just don’t expect everything to be all tied up in a neat little bow. Life ain’t like that, and neither is this movie. It’s a little messy, a little complicated, just like real life. So, if you’re lookin’ for a movie that’ll make you feel somethin’, “Rushed” might just be the one for you.

And another thing, they could have done a bit better job explainin’ things in the beginning. It took me a little while to figure out what was going on. But once you get into it, it’s a pretty good story. Just needs a little more patience, I think, to let things unfold a bit slower. That way, you get to know the characters better, understand their motivations. But that’s just my two cents. You go see it for yourself, and then you can tell me what you think.
