Netflix Loses Subscribers After Kamala
Well, I tell you what, folks been talkin’ ’bout this Netflix thing. You know, that TV box where you watch all them shows? Yeah, that one. Seems like they got themselves in a bit of a pickle.
I heard tell, some fella, big shot at Netflix, name of Reed Hastings, he went and said he was backin’ Kamala Harris. Now, I ain’t sayin’ nothin’ ’bout politics, but seems like that ruffled some feathers. Folks started cancelin’ their Netflix, just like that! Snip, snap, gone.
- People got mad.
- They canceled their Netflix.
- Netflix lost money, I reckon.
It’s like this, you see. You run a business, you gotta keep your customers happy. You start takin’ sides, well, you’re bound to upset some folks. And when folks get upset, they take their money elsewhere. That’s just common sense, ain’t it?
Now, I ain’t no fancy businesswoman, but even I know you don’t go around tellin’ folks who to vote for. You just sell your TV shows and keep your mouth shut. That’s the way to do it, if you ask me. But these city folk, they got their own ways, I guess.
They say this fella Hastings, he’s still the chairman, the big cheese at Netflix. He’s the face of the company, they say. Well, maybe he shoulda kept his face outta politics. ‘Cause now folks are leavin’ Netflix faster than a scalded dog.
They call it “churn rate” or some such fancy word. Means how many folks cancel their service. And seems like that churn rate went up after this Kamala business. Folks just weren’t havin’ it.
More folks canceled, more money Netflix lost. Simple as that.
I heard tell some folks sayin’ Netflix’s stock, that’s like their money stuff, went down. Plummeted, they said. Like a rock fallin’ off a cliff. Now, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout stocks, but sounds like it ain’t good.
But then other folks, they say it ain’t so bad. They say the stock didn’t fall that much. They say it was just a little bump in the road. Who knows what to believe? City folk, they talk in circles sometimes.
But one thing’s for sure, Netflix lost subscribers. That ain’t no lie. And it all started when that fella Hastings opened his mouth about Kamala Harris. Maybe he shoulda just kept quiet and let folks watch their shows in peace.
It just goes to show you, even big companies gotta be careful what they say. You can’t go around alienatin’ half your customers. Not if you wanna stay in business, that’s for sure.
So, what’s the lesson here? I reckon it’s this: keep your opinions to yourself, especially when it comes to politics. Focus on your business, treat your customers right, and don’t go stirrin’ up trouble. That’s the way to make money and keep folks happy. Plain and simple.
And maybe, just maybe, Netflix will learn their lesson. Maybe they’ll start focusing on makin’ good TV shows and stayin’ outta politics. That’s what I hope, anyway. ‘Cause I do like watchin’ them shows, even if that fella Hastings did go and say somethin’ silly.
But I tell you what, this whole thing just proves what I always say: Money talks, and bullsht walks. You start messin’ with folks’ money, they’ll let you know about it. And that’s what happened to Netflix, plain and simple.
So, there you have it. That’s the story of how Netflix lost subscribers after Kamala. A whole lotta fuss over nothin’, if you ask me. But that’s the way the world is these days, I guess. Folks just gettin’ riled up over everything.
