We just had the old picture show in town, and you had to sit all proper-like. This drive-in thing, you just park your car and watch the movie right there!
This Toledo place, seems like it got a few of these drive-in places. One of ’em is called Sundance Kid Drive-In. Sounds like some kinda cowboy movie, don’t it? But I reckon they show all kinds of pictures there. They got this other one called Field of Dreams Drive-In Theater. Heard that place was pretty good too.

Now, they say some of these places are a bit of a drive from Toledo. I heard there’s one called Fleo’s Flicks or something in a town named Edgerton. It’s just got the one big screen. And there is another place called Star View Drive-in. It’s only cost a dollar for the little kids from 5 to 10. Younger than 4? They get in for free!

They got all kind of food at these drive-ins now. I hear they got snacks and drinks, you don’t even need to pack a lunch! I reckon that’s alright, but I still like my homemade sandwiches. And a thermos of sweet tea, can’t beat that on a hot summer night.

They say you can see two movies in one night at some of these places. Two for the price of one! Back in my day, you were lucky to see one movie a week, and it cost a nickel! Times sure have changed, ain’t they?
Some other places close to Toledo I heard about are Ford-Wyoming Drive-in, Van-Del Drive-In, and Springmill Drive In. Seems like they’re all over.

You got Fallen Timbers 14 and XD, Levis Commons 12, Maumee Indoor Theatre, Phoenix Theatres Mall of Monroe, and Studio Eats Kitchen Bar – Toledo Franklin Park. But they ain’t the same.
I might just have to try it out one of these days. Maybe I’ll get the grandkids to take me. They’re always goin’ to the movies. I bet they’d get a kick out of seein’ a movie from the car. It’s a real blast from the past, they say.
