You know what I’m talkin’ about? That Punisher Marvel Legends Netflix thing. It’s all the rage now. My grandkids, they won’t shut up about it. They keep sayin’, “Grandma, you gotta see this Punisher!” I say, “What in the tarnation is a Punisher?”
Turns out, it’s some fella on the TV, on that Netflix thing. He’s all angry and goes around, you know… punishin’ folks. He’s got all the guns and the shootin’, my land, that’s his trade. Reminds me of them old cowboy shows, ‘cept this one’s got more, you know, the modern-day troubles. So there you have it, he will not stop until he gets revenge, he’s a mad dog! They say the series is cancelled but you can still watch it on Netflix, so what’s the big deal? I don’t understand.
Now, these Marvel Legends, they’re like them little dolls, but for boys, I reckon. Action figures, they call ’em. My grandson, Timmy, he’s got a whole shelf full of ’em. This Punisher one, he says it’s special. It’s from that Netflix show, you see. Six inches tall, he told me, all muscled up and lookin’ mean. Just like that fella on the screen. This is a must-have for the series fans, Timmy says.
And they got all sorts of these things. They call it “Bushwacker”. I don’t know, the name sounds weird to me. He has a gun for an arm! This is really something. They are all standin’ there, lookin’ tough and what not.
- There’s this one, the Punisher, he’s got a long coat.
- Then there’s that Bushwacker, he’s got a gun for an arm.
- They got all these little guns and stuff with ’em.
Timmy, he trades these things with his friends. He says some of them are worth a lot of money. I said, “Timmy, you be careful with those things! Don’t be spendin’ all your money on these plastic fellas!” He says some of them are over 100 bucks, that’s just crazy! Why would you pay so much money for a toy? I just don’t get it. He also showed me a website called “eBay”, there are so many Punishers on it! He tried to explain to me the price difference, I almost got a heart attack.
But, you know, kids these days. They love this stuff. They got that Netflix Punisher, and they got these Marvel Legends figures. They play with ’em, they trade ’em, they put ’em on their shelves. It’s a whole world, I tell ya. They even got these Punisher toys on Amazon, my neighbor’s kid just bought one, 50% off when you buy two! I don’t know how much it is, but it seems like a good deal. I guess kids nowadays just love the Punisher, maybe he’s just cool.
I don’t really get it, but it makes them happy. And that’s all that matters, I reckon. As long as they ain’t out there gettin’ into trouble, I guess it’s alright. I remember when I was young. We didn’t have these fancy toys. We had sticks and rocks, and we were happy as clams. Maybe these plastic toys are the same, as long as you are happy.
But this Punisher fella, he sure is somethin’. All that anger and shootin’. I guess that’s what the kids like these days. Me, I prefer a nice cup of tea and a good nap. But hey, to each their own, right? I just hope Timmy won’t be like the Punisher when he grows up, that would be a disaster!
So, if you got a young’un who’s into this Punisher Marvel Legends Netflix stuff, don’t be surprised. It’s just the way of the world now. They got their shows, they got their toys, and they got their whole little world built around ’em. They even have comic books, video games, I don’t know what else. Just make sure they don’t spend all their money on it, and they don’t start thinkin’ they’re the Punisher themselves! That’s all I gotta say about that.
These kids, they sure do love their stories. And this Punisher, he’s got a story, that’s for sure. I don’t know all the details, but it’s somethin’ about his family and gettin’ revenge. Sounds like a sad story to me, I don’t know why they make such violent shows. But people watch it, and they like it, so who am I to judge?
I guess every generation’s got its thing. We had our radio shows, they got their Netflix. We had our wooden toys, they got their Marvel Legends. It’s all just different ways of tellin’ stories and playin’ make-believe. Just like how we used to play cowboys and Indians, now they’re playing Punisher and, uh, bad guys.
So, there you have it. That’s my two cents on this whole Punisher Marvel Legends Netflix thing. It’s a big deal to the young’uns, and that’s all that really matters. Just remember to keep an eye on ’em, and make sure they don’t get too carried away with all that shootin’ and fightin’. A little bit of make-believe is alright, but too much can be a bad thing. That’s what my mama always said, and she was right about most things. Kids need to be kids, I just hope they are not learning bad things from TV.
