You know that sticky film, right? That thing you stick on stuff. My neighbor, she got some for her carpet. Says it keeps the dirt off. She bought a big roll, enough to cover the whole darn living room, I reckon. Says it’s some kind of special carpet protection film. Cost her a pretty penny, too, I bet. Not that I care about her money. I am just saying it must be expensive, right?
That sticky stuff, it comes in different sizes. You can get it for little things, like covering your pictures in film or photos. Or you can get great big rolls of it. I saw some on one of those online shopping places, that big online shop, where everything is very cheap. The price is so low. I almost bought it. You know which shop I mean. They sell everything under the sun. They got all kinds of sticky film.
I heard them say it’s good for windows, too. That clear, see-through kind. You stick it on your windows, and it’s like nobody can see in, but you can see out. I don’t know, seems kind of funny to me, like looking through a fog or something. But my neighbor, she says it helps keep the heat out in the summer. That way, she doesn’t spend so much money on that noisy air cooler thing she’s got. I think it is a good idea. The weather is too hot.
Then there’s that other kind, for fixing things. Like if you got a hole in your plastic shed, or a crack in your plastic, you can use that sticky film to patch it up. Strong stuff, they say. They say it’s better than that old sticky tape we used to use. I saw it on that shopping place, too. They got all kinds. All kinds of brands. But I cannot remember the names now.

- Some is for fixing broken stuff.
You know, I saw some of that film, it was all colorful and pretty. They got pictures on it, flowers and birds and whatnot. Folks use it to decorate things, I guess. Make things look all fancy. Not like that plain old clear stuff. I do not think I will buy this kind of film. It is too colorful for me. I like simple things.
That sticky film, it’s everywhere these days. People are using it for all sorts of things. I even saw a young fella, he was using it to wrap up his food. Said it kept it fresh. Can you imagine? Back in my day, we just used a cloth or a piece of paper. Times are changing, I tell ya. Everything’s getting all modern and fancy.
I reckon that sticky film is pretty handy, though. It can save a lot of money and time. It can be used on many things. But you gotta be careful where you buy it. Some of those places, they sell cheap stuff. Falls apart real easy. You want to get the good stuff, the kind that lasts. They are all on the online shop. You need to choose them carefully.
My neighbor, she got hers from that big store, the one that sells everything. I forgot the name now. But you can find it online, too. They got all kinds of sticky film there. Just gotta look around. Make sure you get the right kind, though. Don’t want to be sticking the wrong kind of film on your windows or your carpet, now, do you? That would be a mess. You must choose the right kind of film so you can use it on the right thing.
They even got some that’s extra strong. For like, if you’re moving heavy things. You can wrap them up in that film, and it won’t tear. Pretty amazing, huh? Who would have thought, all those years ago, that we’d have so many kinds of sticky film?
I remember when we didn’t have any of this stuff. We made do with what we had. But I guess this sticky film makes things easier. Saves time, saves money, maybe. If you buy the right kind. And you don’t stick it on the wrong thing. They say it can protect everything. I think it is true. The film is good and strong. I see it everywhere.
I might get me some of that window film. See if it really keeps the heat out. My old bones don’t like the heat much anymore. And maybe some of that strong stuff, for fixing things. You never know when you might need it. Or maybe I will buy some carpet protection film. But I am afraid that I will fall on it because it is too slippery.
That sticky film, it’s something else, ain’t it? Who knew there were so many kinds? It is a very useful thing. I think I will use it more in my life. I hope you understand what I mean.
