Well, let me tell you, that Rushville movie theater, the Princess, it’s somethin’ else. Been there forever, it has. I remember goin’ there as a little girl, and now my grandkids, they go there too. Time sure does fly, don’t it? This place, it’s got all the new movies. All them Hollywood hits.
They got this new movie, Wonka. You know, ’bout that candy fella. Folks say its good. Heard they even got the candy store fella comin’ to town. That’s what they say. You know, I like those sweet treats sometimes. Maybe I’ll go see that one.
And they got them other movies too. One called Twisters, sounds like a real doozy. Lots of wind and all that, I reckon. I don’t know about all that, makes me a little nervous just thinkin’ about it. But the young folks, they seem to like that kinda stuff. They sure love action movies with many special effects.
If you wanna know what’s playin’ at the Rushville movie theater, you just gotta check around. They got them lists, you know. You can find ’em. They say what time the movies start and all that. Some folks say use the internet, but that’s confusin’ to me. Just check out the news in that theater or the paper, it is easy to know.
Some folks, they like to sneak in their own candy and such. Now, I ain’t sayin’ I do that, but I heard some folks do. They say the movie snacks are too much money. But you gotta be careful, you know. They catch you, they might make you leave. And I heard they can kick ya out if you don’t go when they tell ya to.
I like to get there a little early, you know. Maybe ten, fifteen minutes before the show starts. Just to get settled and all. Some of them fancy theaters, the ones where they bring you food, they want you there even earlier. Half an hour, I heard. Gotta get your order in, I guess. Makes sense, I reckon, so you ain’t botherin’ folks when the movie’s goin’.
They got all kinds of movies at the Rushville movie theater. Action, and them love stories, and funny ones too. Somethin’ for everyone, I reckon. That Princess theater, it is good for everyone in Rushville. They even got old scary movies like Nosferatu. I don’t like that much. Too scary!

Folks these days, they got them streaming things. Watchin’ movies on their phones and whatnot. But it ain’t the same, is it? Gotta go to the Rushville movie theater to see the new stuff anyway. And it’s just somethin’ special about goin’ to the picture show. Big screen, the sound all around ya. It’s just better, you know?
I remember when they first built that there Rushville movie theater. Wasn’t much else to do in town back then. We’d all go down there on a Saturday night. See all your friends, maybe get a soda pop. It was a real treat. It was simple back then.
Now they got all them fancy seats and whatnot. But the Princess, it’s still got that old-timey feel. Kinda like steppin’ back in time. I like that. Reminds me of when I was a girl. If you go to Rushville, you should go there.
