Okay, here we go. I gonna tell you ’bout some good ole shows on that Netflix thing, all ’bout the Appalachian Trail. You know, that long trail through the mountains? Well, I seen some shows ’bout it, and I’m gonna tell you what’s what.
Documentaries ‘Bout the Appalachian Trail
Now, I ain’t one for them fancy words, but I know a thing or two ’bout a good story. And these here Appalachian Trail documentaries on Netflix, they got some stories to tell. Stories ’bout the folks walkin’ that long path, stories ’bout the mountains and the trees, and all that’s in between.
First off, you got this one called, uh, “Appalachia: Rich Land, Poor People” or somethin’ like that. It talks ’bout the folks livin’ in them mountains. Now, they may not have much money, but they got somethin’ more important. They got heart. And they got that land, that beautiful mountain land.
- That “Hillbilly” one, that’s another one. It’s ’bout the people, too. How they live, how they think. It ain’t always pretty, but it’s real. Just like them mountains, rough and tough, but full of life.
- Then there’s one called “The Appalachian Trail: An American Legacy.” I reckon that’s a fancy way of sayin’ it’s an old trail, and an important one. Lots of folks walked it over the years, each with their own story.
I seen one, it was called “Beyond the Tree Line.” Now this one, it’s ’bout a family. A whole family walkin’ that trail, even their little boy, four years old! Can you believe it? That little tyke walkin’ all them miles. Makes my old bones ache just thinkin’ ’bout it. But they did it, that whole family. Showed what you can do when you stick together. This is a great Appalachian trail documentaries on Netflix!
This other one, it ain’t ’bout hikin’, not really. It’s ’bout a lady, a teacher, who’s had a rough time. Her husband left her, you see. So she goes on this hikin’ trip, to get away from it all, I reckon. Finds herself, finds some friends, maybe even finds a new man. It’s called, uh, “Happiness for Beginners.” I guess that’s what she was lookin’ for, a new start.
More Shows ‘Bout Them Mountains
They got some other ones, too. This “The Appalachians,” that’s a long one. Tells you all ’bout them mountains, the history, the people, all of it. You’ll learn more ’bout them mountains than you ever thought you wanted to know! It’s a good watch if you’re interested in knowing more about this place. This is also a good choice in Appalachian trail documentaries on Netflix.
Some fella made a video, put it on that Netflix thing. Lists out some other movies ’bout hikin’. There’s “The Climb,” “The Dawn Wall,” “Mountain,” “National Parks Adventure,” and “Expedition Happiness.” Now, I ain’t seen all of ’em, but they sound like they’d be good watchin’. If you like watchin’ folks climb mountains and walk through the woods, that is.
And you know what? Watchin’ these shows, it’s a lot easier than actually hikin’ that trail. Don’t cost as much, neither. And your feet won’t hurt! But if you do decide to go hikin’, be careful out there. Them mountains ain’t always friendly.
I remember once, I was walkin’ in the woods, not on the Appalachian Trail, mind you, just in the woods near my house. And I got lost. For hours, I wandered around, didn’t know where I was goin’. Finally, I found my way back, but it was scary. So be careful if you go out there. But still, these are good options in Appalachian trail documentaries on Netflix.
Why You Should Watch These Shows
Now, why should you watch these shows? Well, ’cause they’re good stories. ‘Cause they show you a part of the world you might not know much ’bout. ‘Cause they show you what folks can do when they put their minds to it.
And ’cause they remind you that there’s more to life than just sittin’ around. There’s a whole world out there, waitin’ to be explored. Even if you just explore it from your couch, watchin’ it on that Netflix screen. That’s also a good choose.
So, there you have it. My thoughts on them Appalachian Trail documentaries on Netflix. I hope you watch ’em. And I hope you like ’em. And if you do, maybe you’ll get inspired to go out there and see them mountains for yourself. Just be careful, and watch out for bears!
That’s all I got to say ’bout that. Now, I’m gonna go have me a cup of coffee and sit on my porch for a spell. These old bones need a rest. You have a good day, now, you hear?
