First off, you gotta have a good scary story, right? You can’t just throw some blood and guts up on the screen and call it a day. No, sir. You gotta have somethin’ that’ll stick with ya, somethin’ that’ll make ya wanna sleep with the lights on. You need that kind of story, that kind of idea to make a good horror movie.
Like, how about a haunted house? But not just any old haunted house. This one, it’s haunted by the ghost of a mean old woman who used to hide all her money in the walls. People who want to find her money, they hear strange noises and feel cold. And then she starts showin’ up, all pale and wispy, tryin’ to scare ’em off. That’s one horror movie idea right there, I reckon. A good classic one to make a horror movie in 2024.
More Spooky Ideas
- A scarecrow that comes to life.
- A creepy doll that watches you sleep.
- A mirror that shows you somethin’ awful in your future.
Now, them’s just a few ideas. I got plenty more where those came from. You want a real chiller, how about a story about a town where all the kids start disappearin’ one by one? Nobody knows where they’re goin’, but then folks start seein’ these weird shadows movin’ around at night. Turns out, there’s somethin’ in the woods, somethin’ that likes to eat children. That’s a good horror movie for ya. You can name it “The Thing in the Woods”. This is a good one of the 2024 horror film releases.
Or maybe you like them movies about ghosts and demons, huh? Well, I got an idea for one of them, too. See, there’s this family, they move into a new house, but they don’t know that it used to be a place where somethin’ terrible happened. A long time ago, a bad man used to do bad things there, and his spirit’s still hangin’ around. He starts messin’ with the family, tryin’ to drive ’em out. This is a good story to make a modern slasher.
Don’t Forget the Jump Scares
And you gotta have them jump scares, you know? The things that make you jump right outta your seat. You can just add some good scary movies plots to it. Like, the music gets all quiet, and then, BAM! Somethin’ jumps out at ya. That’ll get ’em every time. Trust me, I know. I’ve seen a lot of horror movies in my day.
You could also have a movie about a disease, one of the horror movie ideas that ain’t been done to death. Not just any disease, though. This one, it makes people go crazy. They start seein’ things that ain’t there, and then they start hurtin’ people. It spreads real fast, too, so pretty soon, the whole world’s goin’ mad. It is surely one of the classic spine-tinglers.
Or how about a movie about religion? Maybe there’s this cult, they worship some kind of ancient god, and they try to bring it back to life. They do all sorts of nasty rituals, and pretty soon, bad things start happenin’. People start gettin’ killed in weird ways, and nobody knows why. This must be one of the 2022 horror films. You can have a group of people, maybe they’re scientists, maybe they’re just regular folks, and they gotta figure out how to stop the cult before it’s too late.
Witches and Demons
And don’t even get me started on witches and demons. I got a million ideas for movies about them. Like, how about a coven of witches that lives in the woods, and they lure people in with their spells? Or a demon that possesses people and makes ’em do terrible things? The possibilities are endless, I tell ya.
Here’s another one, how about a mental illness horror movie? A person who is suffering from illness and can not tell apart what is real. The audience is seeing the world from their eyes. Make people confused. Make it one of the most popular horror movies.
