That Netflix, I tell you, it’s somethin’ else. My grandkids put it on the TV for me, and there’s just so much stuff on there, you wouldn’t believe it! They got all them new shows and movies, cost ya an arm and a leg, it’s all too much.
But then they told me about this thing, this Criterion on Netflix. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Well, it ain’t that fancy, but it’s got some good stuff, I gotta say. Lots of old movies, the kind they don’t make no more. And some from them foreign countries too, with the words at the bottom you gotta read.
What’s this Criterion Thing Anyway?
Well, from what I can gather, it’s like a special group of movies. Like they picked out the best of the best, or somethin’. They got all kinds, from all over. Some of ’em are real old, black and white, you know? But they’re good! Some are even award winners, or so they say. I just like a good movie, doesn’t matter much to me. But that Criterion label, it means something I reckon.
They got that one, Red Notice. Now that one’s a hoot! Got that fella, what’s his name, the big wrestler one. And that pretty lady from that superhero movie. They’re runnin’ around, stealin’ stuff. It’s all a bit silly, but it keeps you watchin’, I’ll tell ya that much. It’s not a Criterion movie, but it’s new. But those Criterion on Netflix are good too.

Finding the Good Stuff on Netflix
Now, findin’ these Criterion on Netflix, that ain’t always easy. They got ’em mixed in with all the other stuff. You gotta know what you’re lookin’ for. My grandkids, they help me out. They can find anything on that thing. But you can search for them. Just type in that word, Criterion, and see what pops up.
I seen they added a whole bunch of ’em not too long ago. Like, thirty-five, maybe more! That’s a lot of movies. More than I can watch in a month, that’s for sure. They come and go, you know. One day they’re there, next day they’re gone. Gotta watch ’em while you can!
There’s this website thing, FeedFliks, or somethin’ like that. My grandkids showed it to me. It tells you what’s new on that Netflix, what’s comin’, what’s goin’. It’s all a bit much for me, but if you’re into that kind of thing, it might be useful. I just ask the kids, they know everything.
Why Bother with Criterion on Netflix?
You might be askin’, why bother with these old Criterion movies? Well, I’ll tell ya. They just don’t make ’em like they used to. These new movies, they’re all flash and bang, no story. These older ones, they got somethin’ to say. They make you think a little. And they got real actors in ’em, not these pretty faces they got now.
Plus, it’s nice to see somethin’ different. Somethin’ you ain’t seen a hundred times before. You might even learn somethin’, you never know! I seen some of them foreign ones, learned a thing or two about how folks live in other places. It’s interestin’ stuff, if you give it a chance. It’s a good criterion on Netflix.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ you gotta watch every single one of them Criterion movies. Some of ’em are a little slow, I’ll admit. And some of ’em are just plain weird. But there’s some real gems in there, if you’re willin’ to look. Just gotta find what ya like and see the good criterion on Netflix.
So, next time you’re on that Netflix, lookin’ for somethin’ to watch, give that Criterion thing a try. You might be surprised what you find. Just remember what I told ya, they ain’t all winners, but some of ’em are worth your time. I will always find the good criterion on Netflix.
