I hear tell there’s gonna be a new one with that fella, you know the one, always running around with that hat and whip. My grandson, he’s excited about that one. Says it’s gonna be the best one yet. And then there’s that other one, the one with all them superheroes. They fly around and shoot things out of their hands. It’s all a bit much for me, but the kids love it. They go on and on about it for days. I don’t know how they keep all them characters straight. It is all just noise to me.

Back in my day, going to the movies was a real treat. We’d get all dressed up, and it was a big event. Now, folks just go in their everyday clothes. Some even go in their pajamas! Can you imagine? But I guess that’s just the way things are now. They have all kinds of movie trailers before the movie. It is too much.
They show those movie trailers now, too. Little snippets of the movies that are coming soon. Some of them look alright, I suppose. But I’ll tell you what, nothing beats a good old-fashioned Western. John Wayne, now there was a movie star. They don’t make ’em like that anymore.
