You won’t believe what all the young folks are into these days! They’re all about these horror movie prop replicas. Sounds spooky, don’t it? They buy these things, these pretend things from the scary movies, and put ’em up in their houses. Like they want to be scared all the time!
What in Tarnation are Horror Movie Prop Replicas?
Well, they’re like, fake things from the movies. Like that Jason fella with the hockey mask. They make copies of that mask, the Jason mask replica, and people buy ’em. Hang ’em on the wall, I reckon. Or that other fella, Freddy, with the messed-up face and the glove with knives. They make copies of that, too, the Freddy glove replica. It’s all a bit much for me, if you ask me.
Folks Love These Scary Things!
I seen it with my own two eyes, these young’uns, they’re all excited about these movie props. They trade ’em, like we used to trade them baseball cards. “Got this one from that movie,” they say. “Got that one from that other movie.” They even pay good money for ’em! More money than I ever spent on a Sunday dress, that’s for sure!
- Jason’s Mask: They got all kinds of Jason masks. Big ones, little ones. Some look old, some look new. I don’t get it.
- Freddy’s Glove: That glove with the knives is just plain creepy. But they love it! They got ones that look like metal, ones that look like they been used in a fight. Goodness gracious!
- Other Scary Stuff: They got all kinds of other things too. Fake heads, fake hands, all kinds of gory stuff. I saw one the other day, looked like a whole skeleton! Why anyone would want that in their house is beyond me.
There is one of those Jason Voorhees Part 8 Mask. These folks say that they are all about these horror movies and their props. I don’t know but that is one of the things that these young folks are into.
Where Do They Get These Horror Movie Props?
Well, they got these stores, I guess. Special stores just for this kind of thing. And they got that internet. You can find anything on that internet. They type in what they want, movie prop replicas, horror movie replicas, and there it is! All kinds of scary things to buy.
They show ’em off, too. Got these places online where they take pictures of their horror movie prop replicas and show ’em to each other. Like a big show-and-tell, but with scary things instead of, you know, normal things.
They say these things are “collectible”. Like stamps, I suppose. But who wants to collect something that gives you the willies? I don’t understand the youth of today, that much is for sure.
I saw it in one of the movies. It was called Freddy vs Jason prop. It was about these two scary guys. There is a box with Freddy’s Glove and Jason’s Mask. That was creepy. They say these things are 1:1. I don’t know what that means. But it sounds important.
It’s a Big Business, These Horror Movie Prop Replicas!
You wouldn’t believe how much money they spend on these things. Hundreds of dollars! For a fake mask! I could buy a whole new set of dishes for that kind of money. But they don’t want dishes. They want these horror movie replicas.
And they got these special editions, too. Limited edition horror movie prop replicas. Means they only made a few of ’em. Makes ’em more expensive, I guess. Like that fancy china your grandma only brought out for special occasions. Only these are scary, not pretty.
They got these Jason Voorhees replica mask, that was a big hit too. It is from one of those Friday the 13th movies. These young folks just eat this up. They are all into it. I don’t get it, but they love it.
And they even make their own, I hear. Get some clay or something, and make their own scary masks. They paint ’em up real scary-like. It’s a whole hobby, this horror movie prop thing.
Well, I guess it takes all kinds to make a world. I just hope they don’t scare themselves too much with all these horror movie prop replicas. Me, I’ll stick to my knitting. Much less scary, and a lot more useful.
They Even Have Their Own Language for These Movie Props!
They got all these words they use, these young’uns. “Screen-accurate,” they say. Means it looks just like the one in the movie. “Mint condition,” that means it’s new and shiny. Don’t have no scratches or nothin’. “Rare,” that means there ain’t many of ’em around.
They even have these names for the people who make these things. “Prop makers,” they call ’em. Like they’re artists or somethin’. I guess they are, in a way. Making these scary things look real. It’s a talent, I suppose. Just not one I understand.
I don’t know, they just love these horror movie prop replicas. They would talk about them for hours. Me? I’d rather talk about the weather, or maybe what’s on sale at the grocery store. But like I said before, it takes all kinds. These kids and their scary movies, I just shake my head and smile. It’s their thing, and I guess that’s alright. They seem happy, and that’s all that really matters in the end, isn’t it? Even if their idea of happiness involves a whole lot of fake blood and creepy masks. To each their own, I always say. To each their own.
