Okay, so the other day, I was thinking about spicing up our usual game nights. We always end up playing the same old stuff, and it’s getting a bit stale. So I thought, why not brush up on our Dumb Charades skills, but with a Bollywood twist? I mean, who doesn’t love a good Bollywood movie, right?

I started digging around for some new Bollywood flicks that would be perfect for Dumb Charades. You know, movies with catchy titles or famous scenes that are easy to act out without saying a word. It’s harder than it sounds, let me tell you!

My Dumb Charades Movie Hunt

First, I hit up my favorite online forums and movie sites. I typed in stuff like “best Bollywood movies for Dumb Charades” and “iconic Bollywood scenes.” My goal was to find movies that even my friends who aren’t huge Bollywood fans would recognize.

I stumbled upon this movie called “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.” Apparently, it’s a super popular one with tons of catchy songs. I watched a few clips, and yeah, I can totally see this one being a hit for charades. Lots of dancing and dramatic scenes to act out. I added it to my list.

Then, just for kicks, I decided to look up the longest movie title I could find. And guess what? I found this old Hindi movie called “Tu baal brahmachari main hoon kanya kunwari”. Seven words! Released in 1978, it starred Vinod Mehra and Reena Roy. I doubt anyone would guess that, but it would be hilarious to try and act it out!

Putting it All Together

  • Made a list of about 10-15 movies, a mix of new and old, popular and slightly obscure.
  • Printed out some screenshots of famous scenes from each movie, just in case someone needed a visual cue.
  • Prepared some small chits with movie names written on them.

We tried it out last weekend, and it was a blast! Some movies were super easy to guess, like “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” – everyone got that one pretty quickly. Others, not so much. That seven-word title? Yeah, no one got that. But we were all in stitches trying to figure it out. It was definitely a fun way to learn about a whole bunch of Bollywood movies I’d never even heard of before. This is my sharing today, hope it’s helpful!
