At first, it was tough. I mean, they talk so fast! I had to keep pausing and rewinding to catch what they were saying. But I kept at it. I started with the subtitles on in English, just to get the gist of the story. Then I switched to French subtitles. That helped a lot, seeing the words as I heard them.

I even started keeping a little notebook next to me while I watched. Whenever I heard a new word or phrase, I’d jot it down. Then I’d look it up later and try to use it in a sentence. It felt kind of like being back in school, but in a fun way, you know?
