Okay, so yesterday I wanted to try out this movie, “Silent Thunder.” I’d heard a few things about it, like it’s a western with some horror mixed in, and honestly, that sounded pretty cool to me.
First, I tried to find out where I could watch it. Seems like it’s one of those movies you can stream. I saw something about watching it on Tubi, but I also saw something that it may be playing in theaters, so I checked for movie times, but unfortunately, no theaters near me are showing it.
Anyway, I started looking up what it’s about.
- The basic idea is that there’s this US Marshal guy who has to team up with a couple of bank robbers.
- They’re trying to save five women who were working as prostitutes before they got kidnapped.
- The bad guys who took them are apparently some kind of monsters who live out in the desert.
- It’s directed by some dude named Isaac Medeiros, I think.
- And a guy named Ted McGinley is in it, along with some other people, Jack Lucarelli and Jonathan Stoddard.
So I searched for a place to watch it online, and found it! I made some popcorn, sat down on my couch, and hit play.
The movie starts, and the setting is pretty cool. It’s definitely got that wild west vibe. The story gets going pretty quick. You see these women get taken, and then the Marshal character finds out about it. He decides he’s gonna try to rescue them, and that’s where the bank robbers come in.
I gotta say, watching the Marshal and the robbers team up was pretty interesting. They don’t exactly trust each other at first, but they know they gotta work together to fight these monster things.
The action scenes were pretty decent. There’s a lot of shooting and fighting, but it’s not just non-stop. They actually take some time to develop the characters a little bit, which I liked. You start to get a feel for who these people are and why they’re doing what they’re doing.
Watching those desert monster things was something else.
They looked pretty freaky. I’m not usually into horror stuff, but I thought they did a good job making these creatures seem really dangerous and scary.
Overall, I thought “Silent Thunder” was a pretty fun watch. It’s not the best movie I’ve ever seen, but it kept me entertained. I liked the mix of western and horror, and the story was easy enough to follow.
If you’re looking for something a little different to watch, and you like westerns or horror movies, you might wanna check it out. Just don’t expect it to be some masterpiece or anything, but it’s a good time. Oh, and don’t forget the popcorn!
