Okay, so I was browsing around, trying to find something good to watch, and I stumbled upon this book title, “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine.” Sounds intriguing, right? I mean, who is Eleanor and why is she completely fine? It got me curious, so I started digging.
First, I checked out what this book is all about. Turns out, it’s a novel by Gail Honeyman, a debut novel, no less. And get this, it won the Costa Debut Novel Award in 2017! Seems like people really loved this story. The gist of it is about this woman, Eleanor Oliphant, who’s kind of a loner, a bit awkward, and has some heavy stuff in her past. She becomes obsessed with this singer, thinking they’re meant to be together. Wild, right?
Then, the big news! I found out they’re making a movie out of it. A movie! So, of course, I had to find out when it’s coming out. I looked and looked, but all I could find was that the movie is still “in development.” Bummer! That means it’s still being made, and there’s no release date yet. I couldn’t find anything about it on Netflix, either. Double bummer!
I also read more about the book. There is a man named Raymond who becomes Eleanor’s friend. It seems Eleanor may be talking about a singer named Johnnie Lomond and Raymond gets confused, thinking she is referring to him. But it says that their relationship remains as friendship.
I also read that people think Eleanor might be autistic because of the way she acts, but the author never actually says she is. They just let Eleanor be Eleanor, you know? No labels. I think that’s pretty cool.

In Conclusion

So, no movie release date yet, and definitely no Netflix release date. But I’m still excited about this movie. The story sounds really interesting, and I’m curious to see how they bring Eleanor to life on screen. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for any updates. You never know, maybe I’ll even read the book while I wait!
