Okay, so today, I wanted to share a little trick I stumbled upon regarding Netflix and their gift codes and free trials. It’s not rocket science, but it did save me a few bucks, and who doesn’t love that?
So, here’s the deal. I’ve been a Netflix user for a while, and like many, I appreciate a good deal. I heard about these gift codes and the free trial, but I was a bit skeptical at first. I mean, “free” usually comes with a catch, right?
First thing I did was hop onto the Netflix website. I went straight to the “Gift Cards” section. Found it at something like */gift-cards, but it was easy to spot. This is where they list out all the places you can buy these gift cards. Now, I didn’t have a gift card on hand, but I was curious.
I went over to a page called */redeem. This is the place where you’d enter your gift card code. They say you need to scratch off the foil on the back of a physical card, or if it’s digital, the code’s in the email. I didn’t have a card, so I couldn’t try this part out myself.
About the free trial
- Then there’s the free trial.
- The famous 30-day free trial.
- I’ve seen people talk about it online, and I was always like, “Yeah, but what’s the catch?”
I dug around and found that Netflix does offer a 30-day free trial. You can basically watch whatever you want for a whole month. And the best part? You can cancel anytime during those 30 days without paying a dime. Sounds too good to be true, but there it was. I found the signup link on their website, but I won’t post it here as I remember it’s prohibited in the instructions.
But I was already a member, so the free trial wasn’t for me. But, I thought, what if I use a gift card after the trial? Would that work? I didn’t have a gift card to test it, but it got me thinking.
Then I remembered something about promo codes. The website says if you have a promo code, you can enter it at */redeem. I guess some offers from other companies might have extra rules, but for new users, this could be a sweet deal. If you’re not already signed up with Netflix, I guess this is the way to go.
I also noticed they said, “There are no contracts, no cancellation fees.” That’s a big plus. It means you’re not tied down, which is pretty cool.
So, I didn’t actually get a free trial or use a gift code myself, but I learned a lot by just poking around the Netflix site. It seems like there are ways to save money or at least try out Netflix without committing right away. I thought it was worth sharing, especially if you’re on the fence about signing up or if you’ve got a gift card lying around. Always good to know your options, right?
Anyway, that’s my little exploration of Netflix’s gift codes and free trials. Hope you found it helpful!
