Okay, so, I was trying to binge-watch my favorite show on Netflix the other day, right? But those ads? They kept popping up, ruining my flow. It was so annoying! I mean, I get it, ads help keep things running, but when you’re in the middle of a good episode, it just throws you off, you know?

So, I thought, there’s gotta be a way to deal with this. I started digging around, just googling stuff like “how to block ads on Netflix” and things like that. I found a bunch of articles talking about these things called “ad blockers.” Apparently, they’re these little tools, like browser extensions, that can stop ads from showing up on websites.

First, I went to Chrome Web Store and typed in “Netflix AdBlock.” This little extension popped up, made by some group called “Helpful Extensions.” Sounded legit, so I installed it. It was super easy, just a couple of clicks, and boom, it was in my browser. I reloaded Netflix, started playing an episode, and guess what? No ads! It was like magic. I was so stoked; I watched, like, five episodes straight without a single interruption. That was the first method I tried.

Then, I found out there are some other ways. These ad blockers were mentioned by other websites, it was said they are good at blocking ads on websites like YouTube and Facebook, not just for Netflix, they are good for other streaming services, too. You can choose the ad blocker if you like. These adblocker browsers are a good way, just download and install, then you can use it to open Netflix and enjoy the watching. That was really helpful.

I also read about something called a DNS service. It’s a bit more technical, but basically, it’s another way to block ads. I haven’t tried that one yet, but it’s good to know there are options. I don’t know the detailed steps about using DNS to block ads, but I will try it in the future.

And get this, I found out that Netflix actually has an ad-supported plan. It’s cheaper, like $6.99 a month, but you have to watch ads. I guess that’s cool if you’re on a budget, but I’d rather just use an ad blocker and stick with the regular plan.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my little adventure. It’s amazing what you can find with a little bit of searching. Now, I can finally watch my shows in peace. If you’re tired of ads on Netflix, definitely look into ad blockers. They’re a game-changer!

  • Install an ad blocker extension in your browser.
  • Use an ad blocker browser.
  • Try a DNS service (if you’re feeling techy).
  • Consider Netflix’s ad-supported plan (if you don’t mind ads).
