Okay, so, I’ve got a story to tell you about my little adventure to the Hollywood Bowl for the Netflix Is A Joke Fest. You know, that big comedy thing they were hyping up all over LA? Yeah, that one. It ran from May 2nd to May 12th, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride.
So, it all started when I saw this post online – Netflix Is A Joke Fest is back in 2024… The largest comedy event in history is taking over LA May 2 – 12. I thought, “Hey, why not?” I’m always up for a good laugh. I was lucky enough to receive tickets to the Hollywood Bowl show as a gift. And, it was going to be my first real concert. I’m going by myself. The only concert I’ve ever attended was an ELO show in 2018, so this is a big deal.
I started digging around and found out that there were like, 350+ artists and 300+ shows at over 35 venues. The Hollywood Bowl was just one of them, but it had some of the biggest names. Then I saw another post: Get in. Matt Rife is performing at the Hollywood Bowl on May 8 for #NetflixIsAJokeFest. Matt Rife? At the Hollywood Bowl? Count me in!
Then, a few days before, I got this notification about Kevin Hart’s show. Joining us for Netflix is a Joke Presents: Kevin Hart tomorrow? Here’s everything you need to know before you go. I wasn’t going to that one, but it got me all pumped up. I started checking out the Hollywood Bowl’s website, looking at the schedule, directions, and all that stuff.
The day finally arrived, and I was stoked! It was my first real concert, and I was going solo, which was a little nerve-wracking but also kind of exciting. I hopped in my car, blasted some music, and drove to the venue. The atmosphere was electric, everyone was buzzing with anticipation.
- I found my seat, settled in, and just soaked it all in.
- The show kicked off, and it was non-stop laughs from there.
- I mean, we’re talking about big names here – Seinfeld, Hart, Silverman, and more.
- They were all there, cracking jokes, and the crowd was loving it.
I ended up going to a few other shows during the festival, but that first night at the Hollywood Bowl? That was special. It was like being part of this massive comedy party with thousands of other people, all there to have a good time.
All in all, it was an awesome experience. I got to see some of my favorite comedians, discovered some new ones, and just had a blast. The Netflix Is A Joke Fest definitely lived up to the hype. And hey, I can now say I’ve been to a real concert!
If you ever get a chance to go to something like this, do it. Trust me, you won’t regret it. It’s not just about the jokes, it’s about the whole experience – the energy, the people, the shared laughter. It’s something else.
So yeah, that’s my Hollywood Bowl story. Hope you enjoyed it!
