Okay, here’s my blog post about my experience with the Daredevil Netflix Hot Toys figure:
Man, I gotta tell you about this Daredevil Hot Toys figure I finally got my hands on. Been wanting this thing for ages, ever since I saw that awesome Netflix show. I mean, seriously, that show was the best superhero adaptation, right? And the costume? Perfection. So, naturally, I had to get the Hot Toys version.
First off, finding one wasn’t easy. These things are popular, and they don’t exactly make a million of them. I spent weeks, maybe months, scouring online shops and forums, you know, checking in every day. Prices were all over the place, some people were asking crazy amounts! I almost gave up a couple of times, it was that frustrating.
Finally, though, I found one. It was used, but the seller had a ton of great feedback, and the pictures looked really good. It was a decent price, too, not cheap, but way less than some of the brand-new ones I’d seen. I bit the bullet and hit that “Buy Now” button, my heart pounding a little, to be honest. It was a lot of money to drop on something like this, but, what can I tell you, I loved that show!
Unboxing Day!
The wait for the package was killing me. Every time a delivery truck drove by, I was at the window, checking. Finally, it arrived. I ripped into that box like a kid on Christmas morning – carefully, of course, I didn’t want to damage anything!
And there he was. The figure was even better in person than in the pictures. The detail on the suit is insane. You can see all the little textures and the stitching, it looks just like the real thing. They even got the little scuffs and battle damage just right. It’s seriously impressive.
Posing and Displaying
Of course, I couldn’t just leave him in the box. I spent a good hour, maybe two, just messing around with different poses. The articulation on these Hot Toys figures is crazy good. You can get him into almost any pose you can imagine from the show. I ended up going with a classic fighting stance, billy clubs in hand, ready to take on some bad guys.
- Head Sculpt: The likeness is spot-on. It really looks like Charlie Cox under that mask.
- Accessories: It came with a bunch of different hands, his billy clubs (of course), and a really cool display base with the Daredevil logo.
- Suit: Like I said, the suit is the star of the show. The materials are top-notch, and the tailoring is perfect.
He’s now proudly displayed on my shelf, right next to my other favorite collectibles. Every time I look at it, I’m reminded of how awesome that show was, and it makes me want to rewatch it all over again. Getting this was worth the money and the wait!
Totally a win. I’m so happy to have added this to my collections.
