Alright, so I’ve been wanting to make this “Rad the Movie” t-shirt for, like, forever. Seriously, it’s one of my favorite movies from when I was a kid, and finding a good shirt with that classic logo? Forget about it. So, I decided, screw it, I’m doing it myself.
First, I needed to find a decent image of the logo. I scoured the internet – Google Images, fan sites, you name it. Most of what I found was pretty low-quality, all blurry and pixelated. Not gonna work on a shirt.
Finally, after digging around for a while, I found this one image on some random forum. It wasn’t perfect, a little rough around the edges, but it was way better than anything else I’d seen. I downloaded it and opened it up in my image editor, just a basic one, nothing fancy.
Next, I had to clean it up. I zoomed in real close and started erasing all the jagged bits and stray pixels. This took forever, seriously, like a couple of hours. My hand was cramping up, but I was determined to get it right.
Then used the magic wand to select the background and other elements that I felt were unnessary and deleted them.
Once the logo was looking good, I resized it to fit on a t-shirt. I played around with the colors a bit too, making sure they were nice and bright. The original was a bit faded, so I boosted the contrast and saturation.

After that, I had to find a place to print it. I checked out a few online t-shirt printing services, looked at their reviews and prices. Ended up going with one that seemed pretty reliable and had decent prices.
- Choose the t-shirt color and type.
- Upload the edited image.
- Adjust the position and size on the shirt preview.
- Place the order.
I uploaded my cleaned-up logo, picked out a plain black t-shirt (classic!), and placed my order. It was pretty simple, actually. The hardest part was definitely cleaning up that image.
Now, I’m just waiting for it to arrive. I’m super stoked to see how it turns out. If it looks good, I might even make a few more for some of my buddies who are also huge “Rad” fans. It’s gonna be awesome!
