Alright, so the other day I was hit with this massive wave of nostalgia for Jurassic Park. I mean, who doesn’t love that movie, right? It got me thinking, “Wouldn’t it be awesome to watch it in a theater again?” So, I started this little mission to find out where, if anywhere, it might be playing.
First thing I did was hit up Google. Just a simple search, you know, “Jurassic Park movie theaters near me”. Mostly what I got were the usual suspects – the big chain theaters like AMC and Regal. They had showtimes, but for newer movies, obviously. No Jurassic Park.
Then, I started digging a little deeper. I checked out some websites for smaller, independent theaters in my area. I figured they might be more likely to do a throwback screening. I spent a good hour scrolling through their calendars and upcoming events, but still no luck.
- Checked the big chain theaters – nothing.
- Checked smaller, independent theaters – still nothing.
Getting Creative
I wasn’t ready to give up yet! I started thinking, maybe there are some special events or film festivals that might show it. I searched for local film festivals and checked their schedules, I read blogs, I did a lot of searching.
Finally, I found a website for a small community who was playing it on a projector, I was so happy!.
So, that’s my Jurassic Park quest. It was a bit of a wild goose chase, but hey, the movie playing at a commuity made me happy! Sometimes, you just gotta go the extra mile for the things you love, right?
