Okay, so yesterday I decided to check out the Banff Film Fest in Boulder. I’d heard about it for years, and I finally got around to going. Here is what happen.
First, I looked up the schedule online. It seemed like there were showings all weekend, but I wanted to go on Saturday night. It’s more convenient for me.
Then, I tried to find some friends to go with. Sharing experiences is more intersting than going alone. Two friends were free. Perfect!
Getting Tickets
Buying tickets online was super easy. Click, click, pay, done. I even got them sent to my phone. No need print them out.
Next, I figured out where to park. Downtown Boulder can be a pain, especially on a Saturday. I checked a couple of parking garages nearby and chose the best one.
At the Festival
We got to the theater a little early, just to be safe. I’m glad we did, because the line was already starting to form! We grabbed some popcorn and drinks and of course, found some good seats.
The films themselves? Wow. Just wow. Seriously, there were all kinds of outdoor adventure films. Like, mind-blowing mountain climbing, crazy kayaking, and some intense skiing. One film even had these guys wingsuit flying – nuts!
- Inspiring: Seeing people push their limits like that made me want to get out there.
- Beautiful: The scenery in some of these places was insane. I have added it to my travel plan.
- Exciting: There were moments I was on the edge of my seat!
After the films, We chatted about our favorite parts for a while. We all agreed it was a totally awesome night.
So, if you’re ever in Boulder during the Banff Film Fest, I totally recommend going. Just plan ahead a little, and you’re in for a great time!
