Carlos Santana postponed a concert in San Antonio Tuesday night after the legendary guitarist was hospitalized for dehydration, a rep for Santana confirmed Tuesday.

Santana was slated to play San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre this evening, but his manager, Michael Vrionis, said he was taken in for observation after suffering an incident while prepping for the show, and doctors determined Santana was suffering from dehydration.

“Out of an abundance of caution and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action,” Vrionis said. “He is doing well and is looking forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his US Tour. Thank you all very much for your understanding. The show will be rescheduled soon.”

Santana’s reps are advising ticket holders to hang onto their tickets, stating they’d have more information on the rescheduled date as soon as possible. Other than Tuesday’s show, Santana also has shows slated this week for Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Santana’s team didn’t specify whether the incident would impact any of those upcoming shows as well.

The cancellation comes less than a week after Santana started the Oneness Tour 2025 at Yaamava’ Theater in Highland, California, on April 16. He played two more shows as well at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix on April 18, and at the Isleta Amphitheater in Albuquerque on April 19.

Carlos Santana Postpones Concert Over Dehydration

This isn’t the first time Santana has postponed shows over dehydration. He collapsed on stage back in 2022, subsequently canceling six concerts, as Vrionis said Santana was recovering from heat exhaustion.
