Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer has sights set on a new eyewear ambassador: Patrick Dempsey.
The veteran star, who has a history with TAG Heuer dating back to 2014, has been named the official face of TAG Heuer Eyewear. Images debuted today featuring Dempsey sporting new frames from the brand and its various lines including the Jack Heuer line, Mini Vingt-Sept line and Shield Pro line.
The former is inspired by TAG Heuer’s first Formula 1 partnership in 1971, and features 1960s-inspired pilot frames crafted from ultra-light Japanese titanium, Chroma fade lenses, and refined detailing. The Mini Vingt-Sept line features a sleek elliptical steel hinge and bio-nylon temples, a nod to performance and precision while the Shield Pro range marks the boldest designs with futuristic touches. Featuring a flexible bio-nylon frame, the sporty designs are ultra-light, durable and designed for athletes, riders and those who test the limits in extreme conditions. TAG Heuer Eyewear’s newest collection was created in partnership with Thélios, a division of LVMH Eyewear.
In naming Dempsey as the official face of TAG Heuer Eyewear, the brand’s press release praised a shared set of core values like “designed to win, elegance in motion and the pursuit of excellence with no shortcuts” in a nod to his acting work as well as his other passion as a race car driver. Dempsey, who previously served as the face of Porsche Design Eyewear, has hopped behind the wheel to compete at many international races including the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans.
