NBC is getting The Paper delivered to its fall schedule.
The Peacock comedy, an indirect spinoff of The Office set at an Ohio newspaper, is set for a second run on the broadcast network starting in November. NBC has also added Stumble, a comedy about a junior college cheerleading squad, to the fall slate, filling in the last two open spots in its schedule.
“Knowing how much The Office was beloved by a broadcast audience when it aired on NBC, we wanted to give The Paper a similar opportunity to connect,” Lisa Katz, president scripted programming at NBCU Entertainment, said in a statement. “One of the strengths of our company is meeting fans where they are by delivering shows across multiple platforms to maximize exposure and engagement.”
The Paper premiered Sept. 4 on Peacock and will join NBC’s Monday night lineup on Nov. 10, where it will be paired with St. Denis Medical (the latter is set to have a two-episode premiere a week earlier). The show, which Peacock has renewed for a second season, had the streamer’s second biggest comedy premiere to date behind Ted, according to NBCU.

Stumble, meanwhile, will follow Happy’s Place on Friday nights, with both shows debuting Nov. 7.
When NBC announced its fall lineup in May, it left open the Monday and Friday spots after St. Denis and Happy’s Place while giving series orders to Stumble and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, starring Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe. Reggie Dinkins is now set to debut at midseason.
