While reflecting on sitting down with Jonathan Majors after he was found guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and guilty of harassment, Sherri Shepherd is revealing another star with legal problems she’d like to have on her daytime talk show.
Shepherd began by addressing her conversation with Majors. “I’ve always been a fan of Jonathan Majors; he’s an amazing actor. … I wanted to hear his side of the story. I’ve always been a person who is a believer in grace and second chances — and I want to give you a space to come on and say how you feel,” Shepherd said in a profile with Vulture. “And I love Meagan Good, and I also wanted to honor her because I know that a lot of people were against her for even partnering up with Jonathan.”
The Magazine Dreams actor was arrested and charged with assault in March 2023 following a domestic dispute involving his ex-partner, Grace Jabbari. Following the end of the trial and his sentencing, Jabbari sued, citing claims for battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution and defamation. (They settled in November 2024.)
Following the verdict in Majors’ trial, he was dropped by Marvel after starring in a few of the studios’ projects while being set up as the main villain of Phase 6 of the MCU. He was subsequently let go from Dennis Rodman’s 48 Hours in Vegas.

“I wanted to give people a chance to see the other side of him,” she added, before noting another celebrity with a legal history she’d be interested in having on Sherri.
“I would love to have Chris Brown on, but it’ll be a lot of backlash,” she said. “Sometimes it comes with the territory. I was prepared for it with Jonathan.”
Brown’s legal problems date back to his infamous 2009 arrest for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. The 2024 Investigation Discovery documentary Chris Brown: A History of Violence further delved into his history of alleged conduct while exploring how he has maintained a prominent public presence despite said allegations.
