Alright, alright, settle down now, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout these here scary movies. They call ’em “horror movies,” fancy folks do, but I just call ’em darn spooky. Now, I ain’t no spring chicken, seen my fair share of things that make your hair stand on end, and lemme tell ya, some of these flicks, they got that somethin’ special, that somethin’ that makes ya jump outta your skin.
These young’uns, they always talkin’ ’bout “123movies” and watchin’ this and that online. Back in my day, we didn’t have no fancy internet machines. We had to go to the picture show, ya know, the real deal. But times change, I guess. Now you can watch all sorts of stuff right on that little box in your livin’ room. And they got scary movies comin’ outta the woodwork, lemme tell ya!
Scary movies, they been around forever, I reckon. Folks always liked gettin’ a good scare. It’s like, you know it ain’t real, but it still gets ya. Makes your heart pound like a drum, makes ya sweat a little. Some folks, they can’t stand it. But me? I kinda like it. Reminds ya you’re alive, ya know?
Now, I ain’t talkin’ ’bout those slasher flicks, the ones with all the blood and guts. That ain’t scary, that’s just messy. I’m talkin’ ’bout the ones that get under your skin. The ones that make ya think, the ones that make ya wonder what’s lurkin’ in the shadows. The ones that make ya look over your shoulder when you’re walkin’ home at night.
- The ones with the creepy crawlies, them spiders and snakes and such. Always gives me the willies.
- And the ghost stories, oh boy, them ghost stories. The idea of somethin’ you can’t see, somethin’ you can’t touch, but it’s still there… that’s scary.
- Then there’s them monster movies, the big ol’ creatures that come stompin’ around. Godzilla and King Kong and all them fellas. They can be fun, but they can be scary too, especially when they’re tearin’ up cities and whatnot.
And don’t even get me started on them movies about folks gettin’ possessed by demons or somethin’. That’s the kinda stuff that keeps ya up at night. Makes ya wonder if there’s somethin’ evil out there, somethin’ watchin’ us.
Now, these “123movies horror movies,” like them young’uns say, they got all kinds. You got your classics, your old-timey movies that still hold up today. Then you got your new stuff, the ones with all the fancy special effects. Some of ’em are good, some of ’em are bad, but they all tryin’ to do the same thing: scare the pants off ya.
And you know what? Sometimes they succeed. Sometimes you’re sittin’ there, watchin’ that little box, and you feel that chill go down your spine. You hear that creak in the floorboards, you see that shadow in the corner of the room, and you think to yourself, “Maybe, just maybe, there’s somethin’ to all this scary movie stuff.”
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good scare, go ahead and fire up that “123movies” thing. Find yourself a horror movie. Just make sure you got all the lights on, and maybe keep a baseball bat handy, just in case. You never know what might be lurkin’ in the dark…
But remember, it’s all just for fun. It ain’t real. At least, that’s what I tell myself when I’m tryin’ to fall asleep at night after watchin’ one of them things. Heck, sometimes I even have to say a little prayer, just to be safe.
Anyway, that’s my two cents on these here scary movies. Take it or leave it, I don’t care. But if you see me jumpin’ at my own shadow tomorrow, well, you’ll know why.
