Alright, so I watched this “Awaken” movie, ya know? Gotta tell ya, it wasn’t the worst thing I ever seen, but it wasn’t the best neither. Kinda felt like watchin’ paint dry sometimes, if you catch my drift.

First off, let me tell ya, this movie, it’s pretty as a picture. Real purdy colors and all that fancy camera work. They show you all sorts of things, like them stars and planets, and it’s all real sparkly and stuff. Made me think of them shiny Christmas ornaments we used to hang on the tree back in the day. But, honestly, after a while, all that pretty stuff just starts to look the same, ya know? Like, how many times can you look at a sparkly thing before you start yawnin’?

Now, the story, well, that’s where it gets a bit wonky. It’s supposed to be all mysterious and stuff, but I kinda figured out what was gonna happen pretty early on. It’s like watchin’ them old soap operas, you always know who’s gonna end up with who, even if they try to make it look all complicated. This movie, “Awaken”, it’s kinda like that. You see all these fancy visuals, but the story itself, it ain’t that hard to guess.

  • Pretty pictures, yes sir, they got plenty of those.
  • But a good story that keeps you guessin’? Nah, not so much.
  • And the talkin’, oh boy, the talkin’. Sometimes they just go on and on, and I’m sittin’ there thinkin’, “Just get to the point already!”

It’s like they tried to make it all deep and meaningful, but it just ended up bein’ kinda boring. I mean, I like lookin’ at pretty things as much as the next person, but you gotta have somethin’ more than that, right? You gotta have a story that grabs ya, that makes ya wanna know what’s gonna happen next. This movie, “Awaken”, it just didn’t do that for me.

I kept waitin’ for somethin’ big to happen, somethin’ to shake things up, but it never really did. It just kinda meandered along, showin’ you more pretty pictures and havin’ them characters talk in circles. And the endin’, well, let’s just say I wasn’t exactly surprised. It was all wrapped up nice and neat, just like you’d expect.

Look, if you just wanna sit back and look at some pretty colors and shapes, then maybe you’ll like this movie. It’s kinda like lookin’ at one of them fancy calendars with all the nature scenes, ya know? But if you’re lookin’ for a story that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat, well, this ain’t it. It’s a pretty movie, sure, but pretty ain’t everything. You need somethin’ more than just pretty to make a good movie, and this one, well, it just didn’t have that somethin’ more. It’s like a cake that looks beautiful on the outside but tastes kinda bland on the inside. You might enjoy lookin’ at it, but you won’t be satisfied after you’ve had a bite.

So, would I recommend it? Eh, maybe. If you got nothin’ else to do and you just wanna relax and look at some pretty pictures, then go ahead. But don’t expect too much, ya hear? Don’t expect some big, mind-blowin’ story, ’cause you ain’t gonna get it. You’re gonna get a pretty movie, a kinda slow movie, and a movie that you’ll probably forget about pretty quick. That’s just my two cents, though. You might feel different, who knows? But that’s what I thought of it, plain and simple.
