Alright, so you wanna know about this Netflix thing, huh? This Netflix culture deck PDF thingamajig. Well, lemme tell ya, it’s all about how they run their show over there. Sounds fancy, but it ain’t rocket science, ya hear?
First off, they talk about this “dream team.” Dream team, they say. Like, they only want the best of the best workin’ for ’em. Not just anybody, mind you. They gotta be good at what they do, real good. It’s like pickin’ the best apples from the whole darn orchard, ya know? Only the shiny ones, no bruises.
- They want folks who are honest and do good work.
- They want folks who treat each other right.
- They want folks who work together, like a team.
And get this, they don’t see their workers like a family. Nope. They see ’em like a sports team. A sports team! You gotta be the best player you can be, or you’re off the team. Sounds harsh, but that’s how they roll. They even got this “keeper test” thing.
The “keeper test,” that’s a new one. They ask themselves, “If this fella wanted to leave, would I fight to keep ’em?” Or, “Knowing what I know now, would I hire ’em again?” If the answer is no, well, they let ’em go. Just like that. No fuss, no muss. Like cuttin’ off a dead branch so the tree can grow stronger.
Now, they also give their folks a lot of freedom. Freedom, they call it. They don’t got a bunch of rules and stuff. They let their workers try new things, take chances. It’s like lettin’ the chickens out of the coop to peck around, find their own worms. Sometimes they find somethin’ good, sometimes they don’t. But they get to try, that’s the important thing.
They published this new culture memo thingy a while back, in 2024. Said they got a lot of feedback, over 1500 they say. That’s a lot of folks yappin’ their opinions! But they listened, seems like. They wanna make sure everyone’s on the same page, understandin’ how things work.
This whole deck thing, it’s like a roadmap. A roadmap for how they want things done. They want folks to be responsible, to take ownership of their work. They don’t wanna be babysittin’ nobody. They expect you to do your job and do it well. Like plantin’ a garden, you gotta water it, weed it, and take care of it. Nobody’s gonna do it for ya.
It’s all about performance and accountability. Big words, huh? But it just means you gotta do your job and do it right. And if you don’t, well, you might not be on the team for long. They ain’t got time for slackers. It’s like runnin’ a farm, you gotta work hard or you ain’t gonna have nothin’ to show for it at harvest time.
So, that’s the gist of it. This Netflix culture deck, it’s all about high performance, responsibility, and freedom. They want the best folks, they treat ’em right, but they expect ’em to work hard and get the job done. It ain’t for everybody, that’s for sure. But it seems to be workin’ for them, this Netflix bunch. They’re doin’ alright, wouldn’t ya say?
And this PDF thing, well, it just explains all this in more detail. If you wanna know more, go ahead and download it. But be warned, it’s a long one. Lots of fancy words and such. But if you read it carefully, you’ll understand how they run things over there at Netflix. And who knows, maybe you’ll even learn a thing or two.
