Well now, let me tell ya, this here horror movie home decor thing, it’s somethin’ else. I seen folks doin’ all sorts of things with their houses, makin’ ’em spooky and such. It ain’t my cup of tea, mind you, but some folks, they really get into it.

What is this horror movie home decor all about? Well, it’s like, you take them scary movies, the ones with the monsters and the ghosts and all that, and you bring it into your house. Like, you put up pictures of them creepy fellas, or maybe you get some pillows with blood on ’em. I seen some folks with fake spiderwebs all over the place, and even them fake eyeballs starin’ at ya from the shelves.

Makes a person jump, let me tell ya. I went over to my neighbor Sally’s house last Halloween, and she had this whole getup. Fake blood on the walls, a skeleton hangin’ in the doorway… nearly gave me a heart attack! She had these little, whatchamacallits, figurines, of them movie monsters. You know, the fella with the knives for fingers, and that other one with the mask? Scared the bejesus outta me, they did.

  • Pictures and posters: You can get them posters of the scary movies, the ones with the monsters and the screaming people. Folks hang ’em up in their livin’ rooms or bedrooms, even in the bathrooms sometimes. I seen one with a clown, a real mean-lookin’ fella. Gave me the shivers.
  • Figurines and statues: Like I said, Sally had them little monster fellas. You can get all sorts, big ones, small ones, some even light up and make noises. I don’t know why anyone would want that, but to each their own, I guess.
  • Blankets and pillows: Imagine snugglin’ up with a pillow that looks like it’s bleedin’! Or a blanket with a picture of a ghost on it. Some folks find it cozy, I reckon. Not me, though. I like my blankets soft and fluffy, with no scary faces on ’em.
  • Other stuff: Then there’s all the other bits and bobs. Candles shaped like skulls, doormats that say “Beware,” even fake blood you can splatter on the walls. They got it all, I tell ya. Everything you need to make your house look like a haunted house from one of them movies.

Where do you get this stuff? Well, I hear tell you can get it online, on them computer things. Sally, she gets most of her stuff from a place called “Etsy.” Sounds fancy, but I ain’t never been there myself. She says they got all sorts of handmade things, real unique stuff. And then there’s them other stores, the ones that sell all sorts of things, you know, them big box stores. They got some of that horror stuff too, especially around Halloween time.

Is it for everyone? Like I said, it ain’t for me. I like my house to be cozy and comfortable, not scary and spooky. But some folks, they love it. They like bein’ scared, I guess. And they like makin’ their house look scary too. To each their own, I always say. You do what makes you happy, that’s what I say.

But why, though? I asked Sally that one time. Why you wanna make your house all scary like that? And she said, it’s fun! It’s like playin’ pretend, she said. And it’s a way to show your love for them horror movies. She said it makes her happy. Well, alright then, I said. If it makes you happy, you go right ahead.

So, if you’re thinkin’ about doin’ up your house in this horror movie style, go for it. But don’t come cryin’ to me when you can’t sleep at night ’cause you got them fake eyeballs starin’ at ya! And mind you, keep them spiders and such away from my house, I ain’t havin’ none of that.

It can be right expensive, too, all this decoratin’. Them posters and figurines, they ain’t cheap, let me tell you. And that fake blood, well, it might stain your walls, so you gotta be careful. But if you got the money and the inclination, go ahead and have your fun. Just don’t expect me to come over for a visit durin’ Halloween, that’s all I’m sayin’.

So, there you have it. A little somethin’ about this here horror movie home decor. It’s a whole world out there, I tell ya. People doin’ all sorts of things. Me? I’ll stick to my doilies and my flower-printed curtains. That’s enough excitement for me. But you, you do what you gotta do. Just don’t go scarin’ the neighbors too much, alright?

And remember, it’s all about personal preference. What one person finds creepy and cool, another might find downright terrifying. So, if you’re considering diving into the world of horror movie home decor, just make sure it’s something that you and the folks you live with will enjoy. It’s your house, after all, and you should decorate it in a way that makes you happy. Just maybe, uh, keep the really scary stuff to a minimum in the guest room, you know? Unless you want your guests running out screaming in the middle of the night!
