Alright, let’s gab about them Witcher outfits on that Netflix thingy. You know, the show with the monster hunter fella? Yeah, that one.
Geralt, that grumpy guy, he’s got a whole closet full of getups, I tell ya. He’s got this leather jacket, looks kinda worn, ya know? Like he’s been rollin’ around in the dirt, which I guess he does, fightin’ them beasties. And sometimes he puts on a vest, or one of them…jerkins, they call ‘em? Fancy word for a sleeveless jacket, I reckon. Always with the leather gloves too, got little silver spikes on ‘em. Makes him look tough, I guess. And a black cloak, for when he wants to be all mysterious and spooky-like.
- Leather Jacket: That’s his everyday wear, kinda beat up looking.
- Vest or Jerkin: For when it’s a bit warmer, I guess. Still leather, though.
- Spiky Gloves: Keeps his hands warm and maybe helps with the monster scratchin’.
- Black Cloak: For when he wants to be all dramatic.
And that hair of his! Always long and flowy, he ties it back with a leather headband. Probably gets in his eyes somethin’ fierce when he’s swingin’ that sword around. Speaking of swords, he carries one on his back, the regular one, not the silver one for monsters. Pokes out over his right shoulder, it does. You always know it’s him when you see that sword.
Then there’s that sorceress, Yennefer. Now there’s a woman who knows how to dress! She’s got all sorts of fancy clothes. Lots of velvet and silk, I’d wager. And the colors! Blacks and purples and greens, sometimes even red. She likes to show off a bit, that one. Always got her hair done up all fancy too, and makeup, though I don’t know how she finds the time with all that magic she’s doin’. They say she met up with Geralt, and sparks flew, let me tell ya. But she ain’t no damsel in distress, she can handle herself just fine.
They say they made a bunch of stuff you can buy, like the clothes and pictures and such. From the official Netflix store, they call it. I don’t know nothin’ ‘bout that, but my grandkids, they’re always on that computer thingy, lookin’ at stuff.
Now, they’re makin’ another season of that show, but the fella playin’ Geralt, he ain’t gonna be in it no more. Some other fella’s takin’ his place. Liam somethin’-or-other. Don’t know if he’ll look as good in them leather outfits, but we’ll see. The second season was about some book, somethin’ ‘bout elf blood. Came out a while back, in 2021 it was. They made eight of them shows each time. My neighbor’s kid watches ‘em all, says they’re pretty good.
I heard someone say one time that Geralt’s armor looked like somethin’ from another show, one with all them kings and queens fightin’ over a chair made of swords. Can you imagine? A chair made of swords! Folks come up with the craziest things these days, I tell ya. But I guess it makes sense, since these monster hunters and kings and queens, they all gotta wear armor to protect themselves, right? It’s just that Geralt’s armor is a bit more…worn-in, ya know? Like he’s actually been fightin’ in it, not just paradin’ around.
Anyway, that’s what I know ‘bout them Witcher outfits. Leather and cloaks and swords, oh my! It’s all a bit fantastical for an old woman like me, but them young folks seem to like it. And I gotta say, that Geralt fella, he looks alright in them clothes, even if he does need a good wash now and again.
