Alright, so you got yourself one of them fancy Xgimi thingamajigs, huh? And now you’re hankerin’ to watch your Netflix shows on it. Well, it ain’t always as easy as pie, let me tell ya. Some folks say it works right off the bat, others, well, they ain’t so lucky.

I heard tell of one fella who used somethin’ called a “Desktop Manager” from that Google Play store to get Netflix on his Xgimi MoGo Pro. Sounded complicated to me, like fixin’ a tractor with a toothpick. Some folks said it worked for them, others said it was a no-go. Guess it’s hit or miss, like plantin’ corn in the spring.

Now, Xgimi, they got all sorts of newfangled gizmos comin’ out. I hear tell of the MoGo 3 Pro, the Elfin Flip, and a new Halo somethin’-or-other. They say these new ones are supposed to work with Netflix, but I ain’t seen it with my own two eyes. You know how these companies are, always promisin’ the moon and deliverin’ a bucket of dirt.

If your Netflix ain’t workin’, here’s a few things you can try, like jiggling the handle on a stuck well pump:

  • First off, try pluggin’ that cable into a different hole in the back of the projector. Sometimes them holes are finicky, like a mule on a hot day. They call ’em “HDMI ports,” sounds fancy, but it just means a hole for the wire, far as I can tell.
  • Then there’s this “firmware” thing. Sounds like somethin’ you’d wear, but it’s the brains inside the projector, I reckon. Sometimes you gotta update it, like changin’ the oil in your truck. That might make it play nice with Netflix.
  • And wouldn’t you know it, sometimes Netflix just ain’t available where you are. Like tryin’ to grow oranges in Alaska. You gotta make sure your account and all them settings are set to the right place, where Netflix is happy to hang its hat.
  • Another thing, if your projector is old as dirt, it might not be able to handle the new Netflix app. Kinda like tryin’ to plow a field with a rusty old hoe. You might need to get yourself a newer projector, or find a different way to watch your shows.

Now, the easiest way I’ve heard tell is just hookin’ up your laptop or phone to the projector with one of them HDMI cables. It’s like showin’ pictures on the TV, but bigger. That way, you can watch whatever’s on your phone or computer on the big screen, Netflix and all.

Folks are always talkin’ about this “4k” and that “HDCP.” Sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me. All I know is, you want a clear picture, not some blurry mess that looks like a cow in a fog. So, make sure your wires and settings are all lined up right, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll get to watch your stories without a hitch.

So, there you have it. A few things to try if you’re stuck in a Netflix rut with your Xgimi. It ain’t rocket science, but sometimes it feels like it. Just remember, patience is a virtue, like waitin’ for the tomatoes to ripen in the garden. Good luck, and happy watchin’!

One last thing, if you’re still stuck, maybe ask one of them youngsters for help. They seem to know all about these gadgets. Me? I’m better off with a good book and a cup of tea.
