Well, howdy there! Let’s jaw about them movies in New Iberia, y’know, the ones showin’ at the picture show. Folks ’round here, they like their movies, that’s for sure. Me? I ain’t been to the picture show in ages, but I hear tell of all sorts goin’ on there.
Now, if you’re lookin’ to catch a flick, you gotta know where to go, right? They got this place called The Grand 10. Sounds fancy, don’t it? It’s on Park View Drive. Easy enough to find, I reckon. They got all sorts of movies playin’, from what I hear. New ones, old ones, scary ones, funny ones… you name it, they probably got it.
- Findin’ Showtimes: Now, how you gonna know what’s playin’ and when? Well, there’s this thing called the internet. The young’uns use it all the time. You can go on there and find showtimes for the movies. They got these websites, like Fandango and Moviefone, that tell you what’s playin’ where. Handy, ain’t it? Though, I still prefer the newspaper, myself. Easier on the eyes.
- Buyin’ Tickets: You can even buy your tickets online these days! Can you believe it? Back in my day, you just showed up and hoped they had a seat. Now, you can pick your seat right from your couch! Saves you the trouble of standin’ in line, I guess. Though, standin’ in line gave you a chance to chat with folks, you know?
I heard tell that Smile 2 was doin’ real good at the box office. A scary movie, they say. Halloween’s comin’ up, so I guess folks like to get spooked. Me? I ain’t much for scary movies. Give me a good ol’ Western any day. John Wayne, now there was a fella!
They also got this fancy new theater experience they call GPX. Big screen, comfy seats that recline… sounds like somethin’ else, don’t it? They say it’s the best way to watch a movie. I bet it costs a pretty penny, though. Still, if you got the money and you want the best, that’s the way to go, I reckon.
New Iberia, it’s a small town, but we got our share of things to do. And watchin’ a movie at The Grand 10, well, that’s a good way to spend an evenin’, ain’t it? Especially if you got nothin’ better to do. Which, let’s be honest, most folks don’t these days.
Now, I ain’t seen all these new movies myself. Like I said, it’s been a while since I been to the picture show. But from what I hear, they got somethin’ for everyone. So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do in New Iberia, go catch a movie! You might just enjoy yourself.
And don’t forget, New Iberia itself is a nice little town. Got about 26,000 folks livin’ here, though they sayin’ the numbers are goin’ down a bit. Shame, really. It’s a good place to live, quiet and peaceful. Just like I like it.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about them movies in New Iberia. Go on, get yourself some popcorn and enjoy the show!
