Alright, let’s talk about them scary movie pictures, the ones that make your hair stand on end. You know, the kind that gives you goosebumps even when it’s hot as heck outside.

Scary Movies and Their Pictures, Huh?

First off, you got them zombie movies. Like that old one, Night of the Living Dead. Heard tell it came out way back in 1968. That fella, George A. Romero, he made it. Scared the pants off folks back then, and still does, I reckon. Zombies, always hungry, always moaning. Not right, I tell ya, not right at all. They just keep comin’ and comin’, no matter what you do. Makes you think, what if that really happened? Where would you go? What would you do?

Then there’s this Terrifier movie. Came out not too long ago, 2016, they say. Got this crazy clown in it, Art the Clown. He ain’t no funny clown, let me tell you. He’s pure evil, that one. Goes around killin’ folks on Halloween night. Just mean and nasty. Some folks liked it, some didn’t. Me? I ain’t watchin’ no movie ’bout a killer clown. Clowns are supposed to be happy, not murderin’ folks. It just ain’t natural.

  • Found Footage Horror: Shaky Cameras and Scares

Then you got these “found footage” horror movies. That’s when they pretend like somebody just found a camera and what you’re seein’ is real. Makes it kinda spooky, you know? Like it coulda happened to anybody. Shaky cameras, people screamin’. Not my cup of tea, all that shaky business gives me a headache. But some folks, they like that kind of thing. Makes ‘em feel like they’re right there in the middle of it all.

Painters of the Scary Stuff

Now, there are folks who paint scary stuff too. Not movies, but pictures, you know, like on a canvas. There was this fella, Ivan Albright, they called him the “master of the macabre.” Macabre? Big word, that. Means spooky, I guess. He painted creepy stuff. Not sure why anyone would want that hangin’ in their house, but to each their own, I say. It’s like them folks who like those scary movies, different strokes for different folks, as they say.

And then you got Herschell Gordon Lewis. They say he was a pioneer. Made a movie called Color Me Blood Red. Sounds messy. Lots of blood, I bet. Not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. I ain’t seein’ it. Too much blood and gore just ain’t right. Gives you nightmares, it does.

More Artists Making Spooky Art

There’s another fella, Keith Thompson. Don’t know much about him, but I heard he makes scary pictures too. Lots of folks out there makin’ scary stuff, ain’t there? Must be somethin’ in the water. Or maybe folks just like bein’ scared. I don’t get it myself, but hey, it takes all kinds, I reckon.

Why We Like to Be Scared, I Guess

Maybe it’s like ridin’ a rollercoaster. You know it’s gonna be scary, but you do it anyway. Gets your heart pumpin’, makes you feel alive. Maybe that’s what them scary movies and pictures do. Remind us we’re alive, even when things get spooky. Or maybe folks just like a good fright every now and again. Me? I’d rather watch a nice, happy movie. Somethin’ with flowers and sunshine, maybe a little singin’. But hey, that’s just me. You like them scary movies? You go right ahead. Just don’t make me watch ’em with ya.

So Many Scary Pictures, So Little Time

So yeah, there’s a whole lotta scary movies and pictures out there. Zombies, clowns, blood, guts, you name it. And there’s folks who paint it all, too. Makes you wonder, don’t it? What makes people wanna make that stuff? And what makes people wanna watch it? I ain’t got the answers, I just know it’s out there. And if you like bein’ scared, well, you got plenty to choose from.

But Remember, It’s Just Make-Believe

Just remember, it’s all make-believe. Them zombies ain’t real, that clown ain’t gonna get ya. It’s just stories and pictures. So go ahead and watch if you want, but don’t let it get to ya too much. And if you start havin’ nightmares, well, maybe stick to somethin’ a little less spooky next time. There’s enough scary stuff in the real world without lookin’ for it in movies and pictures.
