Alright, alright, let’s talk about these new Jesus movies comin’ out. I heard tell there’s a bunch of ’em. Now, I ain’t no fancy movie critic, mind you. I just like a good story, somethin’ that makes you think, you know? Somethin’ with a bit of heart.
First off, they got this one called “JESUS: a Deaf Missions film.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? But from what I gather, it’s about Jesus and them fellers he hung around with, his disciples they called ’em. It shows all them miracles he did, how he changed folks’ lives. And it ain’t all sunshine and roses, see? He gets into it with the bigwigs, the religious fellers, ’cause things were tough back then under them Romans.
Then there’s “God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust.” This one’s got a preacher man, Reverend David Hill, and he’s runnin’ for Congress. Can you believe it? A preacher in politics! But this other feller, Peter Kane, he don’t want no religion mixed up in the government. So, it’s a real showdown, a fight for what’s right, I guess. Sounds like it could be excitin’, maybe a little bit preachy, but that’s alright sometimes.
Now, this “Unsung Hero” movie, that’s a different kinda story. It’s about a lady named Rebecca. I ain’t sure what it’s all about, but it’s supposed to be one of them drama movies. You know, the kind that makes you cry a little. Maybe it’s about family, or hard times, or maybe both. I do like a good cry every now and then.
- They also got somethin’ called “The Chosen Season 4.” This one’s a show, not a movie, but it’s about Jesus too. And wouldn’t you know it, them religious leaders are at it again, causin’ trouble, teamin’ up with the Romans this time. Sounds like there’s gonna be a whole heap of problems for Jesus and his friends. I reckon it’ll be interestin’ to see how it all plays out.
- And last but not least, there’s this movie called “His Only Son.” They say it’s a historical movie. Now, I like them historical movies, the ones that tell you about how things used to be. I reckon this one’s about Jesus too, maybe about his life growin’ up, or maybe somethin’ else. It’s hard to say without seein’ it, but it sounds interestin’ enough.
So, there you have it, a whole bunch of new Jesus movies and shows. I don’t know about you, but I might just have to watch a few of ’em. Maybe I’ll start with that “JESUS” movie, see what all the fuss is about. Or maybe that “Unsung Hero” one, if I’m in the mood for a good cry. It’s always nice to see folks standin’ up for what they believe in, even if it ain’t always easy. And them movies about Jesus, well, they always remind you to be a good person, you know? Treat others the way you want to be treated, that’s what I always say.
But sometimes these movies, they make things too complicated. All that talk about Romans and politics, it can get confusing for an old woman like me. I just want a simple story, somethin’ that speaks to the heart. Somethin’ about love and kindness and doin’ the right thing. That’s what Jesus was all about, wasn’t he?
Anyways, I reckon there’s somethin’ for everyone in this new batch of movies. Whether you like the big action stuff, or the tearjerkers, or the historical ones, there’s a Jesus movie out there for you. Just remember to keep an open mind, and don’t take everything too seriously. After all, it’s just a movie, right? But even in a movie, you can find a little bit of truth, a little bit of hope. And that’s somethin’ we all need, ain’t it?
And you know, it’s good to see that folks are still makin’ movies about Jesus. In this crazy world, it’s easy to forget about the important things. But these movies, they remind us to slow down, to think about what really matters. They remind us to be kind to each other, to love one another, and to have faith. And that’s a message that’s always worth hearin’, no matter how many times you’ve heard it before.
