Alright, let’s talk about these here movie monster series, you know, the ones with all them big creatures and whatnot. I ain’t no expert, but I’ve seen a few of ’em on that there TV thingy.
First off, there’s this Godzilla fella. Big lizard, stomps around, knocks stuff over. They got all sorts of toys of him, I hear. Little plastic ones, big ones, all kinds. Bandai, they call ’em, Movie Monster Series. Sounds fancy, but it’s just toys, ya know? My grandkids, they love that kinda stuff. Always yellin’ about Godzilla this and Godzilla that. Never seen nothin’ like it.
These Bandai fellas, they been makin’ these toys since, what, 2001? That’s a long time, I reckon. Guess folks like them monsters, huh? Six-inch soft vinyl, they say. Sounds like somethin’ my old cushions are made of, but I guess it’s good for toys. They got all sorts of monsters, not just Godzilla. Kaiju, they call ’em. Sounds like somethin’ you catch a cold from, but it’s just them Japanese monsters.
Then there’s this Monster show on Netflix. Not about them big creatures, though. It’s about, well, criminals and stuff. Bad people doin’ bad things. Not my cup of tea, if ya know what I mean. Too much talkin’, not enough stompin’. Give me a good monster movie any day.
- Godzilla, the big lizard
- Other Kaiju fellas
- That Netflix Monster show, which ain’t really about monsters
Speaking of monster movies, they got a whole bunch of ’em. Godzilla movies, mostly. Japanese ones, they make a lot of ’em. Thirty-three, I heard. That’s a heap of movies! Then them Americans, they made a few too. Five, they say. One with that TriStar company, and then four more with that Legendary bunch. Monsterverse, they call it. Sounds important, but it’s just more monster movies.
And then there’s this Monster Hunter movie. Came out a few years back. That ain’t about Godzilla, though. It’s got other monsters, I guess. Never seen it myself, but I heard it’s got a lot of action. People huntin’ monsters, makes sense, I reckon. That Paul Anderson fella, he made it. He makes a lot of them action movies, don’t he?

So, there you have it. All sorts of monster series out there. Some with toys, some with movies, some with that Netflix thingy. Me, I like the ones with the big lizards. Simple and fun, ya know? None of that fancy talkin’ or complicated stuff. Just big monsters, stompin’ and roarin’. That’s entertainment, I tell ya.
I guess folks like seein’ somethin’ big and powerful, somethin’ that ain’t real. Makes ’em forget about their troubles, maybe. Or maybe they just like watchin’ stuff get smashed. Who knows? But whatever the reason, these monster series, they ain’t goin’ away anytime soon. Too many folks makin’ money off of ’em, I reckon.
And that’s all I got to say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. Got some leftover stew that needs heatin’ up. Ain’t no monster stew, though. Just good ol’ beef and potatoes.
So next time you see one of them Godzilla movies or one of them Bandai toys, you’ll know what it’s all about. It’s just a whole lot of fun and nothin’ to be scared about. Unless you’re one of them little plastic buildings, I guess. Then you better watch out!
In short, movie monsters are a big deal. Whether it’s toys or movies, folks just can’t get enough of them. And that’s just fine by me, ‘cause a little bit of stomping and roaring never hurt nobody, right?

And remember, there’s more to monsters than just Godzilla. There’s all sorts of creatures out there, just waiting to be discovered. So keep your eyes peeled and your ears open, and who knows what you might find?
