Alright, so you wanna watch some new Indian movies, huh? Near you, you say? Okay, okay, I gotcha. Let’s figure this thing out together. It ain’t rocket science, you know. Just gotta poke around a bit.
First thing’s first, where do you even go to see movies these days? Back in my day, we had one little theater in town, and that was it. Now, you got all these fancy places, I can’t even keep track. You can even buy your tickets online now, which is somethin’ else. Back in my day, you had to stand in line and hope they didn’t sell out before you got to the window. Times sure have changed.
- Cinemark – They say they got new Bollywood movies and even Telugu movies. Whatever them are. Sounds foreign, but I guess that’s the point, huh? You gotta check and see what’s playin’ at your local one though, ‘cause they don’t all show the same thing.
- Regal Prince Kuhio – Over in Hilo, on Puainako Street. They got movies too, and you can buy tickets online. Easy peasy.
Now, how do you find out what’s playin’? Well, you can go down to the theater and look at that big board they got. Or you can go online. They got these websites, see? Like * and Fandango. You just type in your location and they tell you what’s playin’ and when. It’s like magic, I tell ya. You can even pick your seats ahead of time, so you don’t have to sit in the front row and break your neck lookin’ up at the screen.
I heard tell of some Indian movies that were real popular, even over in China and Japan. Dangal, they called it. And 3 Idiots. My grandson was tellin’ me all about ‘em. Said they were real good. So, if you see them playin’, maybe you wanna give ‘em a try. Or maybe you want somethin’ brand new. That’s up to you.
Another thing, these theaters, they got all sorts of snacks now. Popcorn and soda, sure, but all sorts of other stuff too. And you can even order it from your phone! Can you believe that? You just click, click, click, and they bring it right to your seat. It’s a whole different world from when I was young, I tell ya.
