Alright, let me tell ya about this Blood Vessel movie, just saw it the other day. Don’t expect no fancy talk from me, I’m just gonna tell it like it is, ya know?

So, this movie, Blood Vessel, they say it’s a horror film. Made in 2019, way down in Melbourne, Australia. Heard of that place? Me neither, really. Anyway, some fella named Justin Dix, he directed it and wrote it too, with another guy, Jordan Prosser. Big names, huh? Never heard of ‘em.

The story’s about this boat, see? A big ol’ ship in the middle of nowhere. And there’s these people on it… or maybe they find it? It’s a bit fuzzy, to be honest. But they end up on this boat, and let me tell ya, things ain’t right. Not right at all.

  • First off, there’s this actress, Alyssa Sutherland. She’s alright, I guess. Pretty face, does her job.
  • Then there’s Robert Taylor and Nathan Phillips. More actors. They run around, yell a lot, you know the drill.
  • And some other fellas, Christopher Kirby and John Lloyd Fillingham. Lots of people, all stuck on this spooky boat.

Now, the scary part. It ain’t like them ghost movies where things jump out at ya. This one’s got vampires! Yeah, you heard me, vampires. On a boat! Who ever heard of such a thing? But that’s what it is. These ain’t your sparkly pretty-boy vampires neither. These are mean, nasty bloodsuckers. And they’re hungry.

The Good Stuff, I Guess…

I gotta say, even though I ain’t a fan of all that blood and guts, some of the stuff they did in the movie looked real. Like, really real. They call it “practical effects,” means they actually built stuff and made it look scary, not just some computer trickery. That was pretty neat, I gotta admit. The boat itself, the way it looked all old and creepy, that was good too. The set design, they call it. Someone put some work into makin’ that boat look spooky.

And the actors, well, they did their job. They screamed when they were supposed to, looked scared when they were supposed to. Can’t complain about that.

The Not-So-Good Stuff…

Now, don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t all sunshine and roses. There were parts where I just rolled my eyes. Like, sometimes things got a little too… unbelievable, ya know? Even for a vampire movie. And some of the characters, they did dumb things. Real dumb. Like, who goes wanderin’ around a creepy boat all alone? Makes no sense, I tell ya.

And the story, well, it wasn’t the most original thing I ever saw. Vampires on a boat? It’s kinda… out there. I mean, I’ve seen better, I’ve seen worse. It’s kinda in the middle, I guess.

So, What’s the Verdict?

Look, if you like horror movies, if you like vampires, and if you don’t mind a bit of blood and guts, then you might like Blood Vessel. It’s not the best movie ever made, but it’s not the worst either. It’s got some good scares, some good actors, and some pretty cool effects. Just don’t expect a masterpiece, ya know? It’s a movie to watch when you got nothin’ else to do, when you just wanna turn your brain off and be a little scared.

Would I watch it again? Maybe. Probably not. But hey, at least it kept me entertained for a couple of hours. And that’s more than I can say for some of them fancy-pants movies they make these days.

One last thing… If you get scared easy, maybe this ain’t the movie for you. Just sayin’.

But if you are brave like this ol’ lady, give it a shot! You might even enjoy it, who knows. But don’t come crying to me if you have nightmares!
