Well, howdy there! Let me tell ya ’bout this new movie theater in Red Oak. They call it the BB Theaters Red Oak 12, ya know. Sounds fancy, but it’s just a place to watch them pictures, like they always done.
Where is this place, you ask? It ain’t hard to find. It’s right off that big ol’ Interstate 35 East Road, number 615. Can’t miss it, they say. It’s in Red Oak, Texas, zip code 75154, if you’re writin’ it down. Some folks call it Legacy Square, too, so don’t get yourself confused now.
Now, what’s so special ’bout this place? Well, they got a whole bunch of movies playin’, I hear. Twelve of ’em, they say! That’s a lot of pictures, more than I can count on my fingers and toes. You can find all sorts of stories there, cowboys and spacemen and whatever else them city folks dream up. They even got them fancy new kinds of theaters.
They say it’s got this big screen, they call it the “Grand Screen.” Must be somethin’ special, bigger than my barn door, I reckon. And the sound? They say it’s like you’re right there in the movie, with all the horses and shootin’ and whatnot. Sounds loud to me, but the young’uns like it, I guess.
And that ain’t all, no sirree! They got this thing called “ScreenX,” where the picture goes all around ya. Imagine that! Like you’re standin’ in the middle of the story. They say it’s the biggest one in the whole country, this ScreenX thing. Must be somethin’ to see, but I don’t know if my old eyes can handle it.
- They also got somethin’ called 4DX. I ain’t quite sure what that is, but they say the seats move and shake and even squirt water at ya! Sounds like a wild ride, but I’d rather sit still and watch my picture, thank you very much.
- And for the young’uns, they got this “screenPLAY!” place. I reckon it’s like a playground, but with movies. And a “Lyric” thing, which sounds musical. And a “Max Relax” place, maybe that’s where you can take a nap. Kids these days, they got all sorts of things.
And if you get hungry, they got this place called Sterling’s restaurant right there. You can get yourself a bite to eat before or after the picture. Or, if you’re feelin’ sporty, they got bowlin’ and arcade games and even pickleball! Pickleball, can you believe it? Sounds like a silly game to me, but folks seem to like it. They also have a Bocce court, whatever that is.
Now, I ain’t been to this theater myself yet. I’m more of a stay-at-home kinda gal. But from what I hear, it’s a real fancy place. Lots of things to do, lots of movies to see. So if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do in Red Oak, you might wanna check it out. Just don’t forget your pocketbook, ’cause all them fancy things cost money, ya know.
So, go on down to BB Theaters Red Oak 12. Take the young’uns, take your friends, take your grandma if she can handle all the noise and shakin’. Have yourself a good time, and don’t forget to tell me all about it. Maybe I’ll even go myself one of these days, if I can find someone to drive me. But for now, I’ll just stick to my stories on the TV. They’re loud enough for me.
And one last thing. If you’re gonna buy tickets, you might as well use that Fandango thing, they say you can get double the rewards. I don’t know what rewards are, but free sounds good to me, even if it’s just a little bit.
