Alright, so ya wanna know about this Boardman Movies 8, huh? Let me tell ya what I heard, you know, from folks around and such. Ain’t been there myself, my old bones ain’t up for that kinda stuff anymore, but I got ears, ya know?

First off, they got movies, plenty of ‘em. Eight movies they say, playin’ every day. That’s a whole lotta movin’ pictures if ya ask me. Don’t know what they’re playin’ though, probably all that newfangled stuff the youngsters like. Back in my day, we had…well, never mind that. This ain’t about me, is it?

Folks say it’s over on Boardman Poland Road, in Youngstown. Yeah, Youngstown, Ohio. Got a number too, somethin’ like (330) 259-8946. If ya wanna go, ya gotta find that road. Sounds easy enough, but roads these days, they all look the same to me.

Now, some folks, they like it there. Say it’s the best cinema around. Can ya believe that? Best cinema! Compared to what, I dunno. But they say it’s better than that Cinemark Tinseltown, and that Regal place. Even better than Austintown Movies, whatever that is. Guess it’s gotta be good then, if everyone’s sayin’ it.

  • They say ya can buy tickets online now. Imagine that! Don’t gotta stand in line no more. Just clickety-clack on that computin’ machine and you’re good to go. Fancy, huh?
  • And they got showtimes too, posted up somewhere, on that internet thingy I guess. So ya know when your movie’s playin’. No more guessin’ and waitin’ around. That’s somethin’ at least.
  • Oh, and they even played somethin’ called The Wild Robot. Heard some kids talkin’ about it. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but kids these days, they like what they like.

But listen, not everyone’s happy, ya know? Some folks complain. Always gotta be someone complainin’. Say the seats ain’t comfy, or the popcorn’s too expensive. Well, what do ya expect? It’s the movies! It ain’t gonna be like sittin’ in your own armchair, is it? And popcorn, well, that’s always been overpriced, ever since I was a girl.

They talk about fancy things too, like IMAX and 4K and whatnot. Don’t know what that means, sounds like gibberish to me. Brighter pictures, they say. More impactful. Like watchin’ a real movin’ picture, I guess. Some folks even say that old-timey film, that 70mm stuff, is the best way to watch. Can ya imagine? Old things bein’ better than new things? That’s a laugh.

And somethin’ about digital cinema and pixels. More pixels, better picture, they say. Horizontal pixels, vertical pixels… My head’s spinnin’ just thinkin’ about it. All this technology, it’s too much for an old lady like me. Back in my day, we just sat down and watched the movie, didn’t need all this fancy stuff.

Anyway, that’s what I heard about Boardman Movies 8. Sounds like a decent place to watch a movie, if you’re into that kinda thing. Plenty of movies, easy to get tickets, and folks say it’s the best around. But don’t take my word for it, go see for yourself. Just remember where it is, 469 Boardman Poland Road, Youngstown, Ohio. And bring extra money for that popcorn! Oh, and there’s somethin’ nearby, called FALLINGWATER – America’s UNESCO World Heritage Masterpiece, sounds interestin’ but a bit too fancy for me.

So go on, have a good time at the movies. And don’t forget to tell me all about it, if you remember an old lady like me, that is.
